Sorcerer's Castle (Mikro-Gen)

Anyone played this? Apart from thx1138 of course.
It seems interesting, just has a bunch of button inputs instead of the usual brain-melting free text.
If you've not played it before and are giving it a go, press H first for the keys.
I've only had 2 minutes of it, so no real idea if it ends up crap.

Its a cracking game , played it absolutely loads in 1984 (summer) as a mate had bought it from Boots but didn't suss it , lent it me and i think i still have it. Its a while since ive played it though , the fighting was good , and i used to love using the crystal ball to view where murtceps ? (from memory was or was were the exit was) , might even give it another go .

    Yes! I remember playing it...

The beauty of emulation is that you can speed up that agonizingly slow clock that ticks round at the start while it sets up the grids.

Used to quite like these sorts of nerdy D&D games (randomly-generated grid dungeon hacks).

I quite liked the clock. It reminded me of the BBC Schools programmes :) Must admit I did speed it up, still took a while at full speed on Spin.
Any other similar limited input games on the Speccy?

Not too similar , but , out of the shadows by Mizar , somehow reminds me of it .

RetroGamer has reminded me, doesn't Knightmare have a somewhat similar input method?

Think so. Not a great game though. Also denienced. ;)

Oracle's Cave is a good example of a similar 'simple control' system. I recall you don't have to enter more than one letter for any command or object.
