My brother found this on YouTube, a guy slagging off one of my favourite games, Rescue. Not sure if the guy knows what the game's actually about:

the clue is in "inept" ;)
thats collie's style of reviewing.. his drunk ones are more funny.
him and spinny must have the most speccy videos on youtube ?

it's funny though , I'll relist it on a certain auction site for it maybe not to sell again

The guy in the video sounds like a nob as he doesn't have a fecking clue what the game is about - he's also been on the super strength lagers methinks :D

    Edit:

There was a guy called Collie who posted on here, haven't seen him on in a while. Wonder where he is now?

Agree. Collie's stuff is pretty funny, especially the drunk ones. His Thomas The Tank Engine video is probably my favourite. Very sweary. Very drunk.

spinny scares me with his softly spoken Scottish accent and political rants. He's got that Begbie from Trainspotting edge about him.

i contacted spinny a few times, he's sound.. but his comments are interesting.

the other 2 that comes to mind is "paulisthebest".. funny to wind him up about being a brummy.. but he's from cannock

and steve benway? he actually sounds a lot older than he looks .. I thought it was some old dude .. he reviews bbc / atari stuff
  • Ah, yes paulisthebest and his 'cider up the woods'!

steve benway has a good channel and an impressive collection. He also does benway's world I think. He's a big fan of the Amiga which is how I found him originally (that being my next computer after the speccy).

Loved the video.. thought it was hilarious... started out not having a f*&king clue as to what to do and quite derogative, but ended up actually admitting some of its strengths... Quite something that he gave it a 7 out of 10, despite not knowing how to play it or anything about it... I wonder what he would have given it if he had given it a bit more time, read the instructions and learned a bit more about it - probably something higher... Personally, I think its an excellent game, and something of a hidden gem, quite deserving of a place in the top 100, but then, Im biased... ;)

Incidently, for anyone who loves the game, there are two brill walkthrough videos of this game:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S4sbfFOImJ0&feature=watch_response

...I must have played this one for years and never once considered controlling the environment with strategically placed blocks... Those scientists really did get quite annoying... That feature of the game is not at all obvious, but from the way the scientists runs around, must have been the original intention of how its supposed to be played... Apart from that unobvious aspect of the game, Id give this game at least an 8 or higher myself... I has great graphics, offers multiple possible endings, has great use of sound (its all beeper too), and some cool features like teleports, mirrors for reflecting shots and destructable environments...

...Definately a game I would want to remake if I had the talent...

I love to switch the game on, go away for an hour then start playing it. Usually the place is destroyed.
You can put crates in certain areas to stop ammo/medikits being destroyed. It can also be used to control the scientists who are running about. It can be time consuming but it's worth it.
I must have played it over 500 times. It's one of my all time faves.
