Gutted....

Well, I got my provisional exam results back from my 2nd year at Uni (studying Computing), did pretty soundly apart from my Advanced Databases module. To cut a long story short, I fell ill during the revision period, did hardly any revision for the subject, applied for extenuating circumstances that were accepted and did the exam with the expectation that I would fail and be able to do an uncapped retake in the Summer.

I got 35% and because my coursework element was strong (91%) I passed the module, but now my average for the module has taken a massive dent.

Are you allowed to re-take it and have the new, hopefully better grade stand in place of the older one?

You can do that at some unis here.

I'm going to make enquires down that alley Mr Znorx, but from previous conversations I had with the powers that be once you've got sufficient marks to pass a module that's it, its done.

It might be different seeing as I have accepted extenuating circumstances, fingers crossed aye?

I fell asleep during one of my uni exams lol

Fortunately, the exam was split into two parts - 1st part was worth 60% which I got all right. I think my average that year was 94% :)
