When you've had as many as I've had they lose their sparkle after a while.

A card insulting my age and bar of Dairy Milk with a corner bitten off left on my desk. I think his mother forced him...
I wanna tell you a story 'bout a woman I know...

    I didn't send my dad a card, he's a worthless layabout.

Nor did I, he died 26 years ago.

Got a hug from the wife and the 12-yr olds, a toolbox (they knew I needed one) and a Gilette Fusion set. They're now taking me somewhere but won't say where. I'll report back later. :-)

Normally Sarah would help the kids pick Fathers day cards & write them. I can tell she didn't this year. Because they were crap.
    My test signature
  • Big Bar of Galaxy for me. The 2 youngest are too young to know it's Father's Day. My eldest only remembered when it was mentioned on kids telly!

Reporting back from the surprise trip! :)

Missus drove for more than 2 hours and after helping me enter the place with my eyes closed, I realized I was here:

http://nataspastries.com - Portuguese Bakery and Restaurant

And then we had a couple of things including these:

Mediterranean Platter (Salad, cod cakes, shrimp turnovers, ground beef rolls)

    th_da3c68f9.jpg

Empad?o (mash potatoes with ground beef and melted cheese)

    th_bc559903.jpg

    Caldeirada (seafood stew)

    th_7ecd9b77.jpg

    Feijoada (Meat stew)

    th_2b5ba0a1.jpg

And then a Portuguese Espresso coffee followed by a "pastel de nata"

But the thing I valued the most today were the hugs.
