Aye annoyingly enough the US version for PS3 is gonna be download only (so far anyway, hopefully it changes closer to the release), but it'll be on disc in Japan and the EU....boobz!

PS3 games are all multi region aren't they? Can't you just import a copy from over here?

Dunno? If so then I imagine I could, I presume with all the digital TV mess there is no longer a matter of PAL/NTSC signal problems anymore?
Couldn't play my UK PS1 games on a US TV, they load but the screen rolls and turns pink (Haven't tried it on the new TV here, but I imagine a PS1 will look bloody awful on it), I remember unless you bought one of those expensive Tru-Scart cables US PS1 games would load on a UK machine but would be in black and white.
Not all PS3 games are multi-region but most are so you're usually fine importing. There aren't any issues with TVs like in the old days, thankfully, when you play through HDMI. DLC compatibility can be an issue.
Just finished the Forest Temple as adult Link. Had forgotten how awesome that dungeon is. The battle with the two regenerating Stalfos's is tricky. Now trying to get Epona, I don't remember it being that hard on the N64!

You're pretty much exactly where I am. I had trouble with those Stalfos gits (I'm pleased I had 2 faries with me the second time) and I'm also having trouble getting Epona too. I can win the first race easily, but I just can't seem to keep up with him on the second race. I had trouble on the N64 too, but not as much as I am on the 3DS and at 50 rupee's a time it's an expensive thing to fail over and over!
It's funny how you remember things from the original playthrough too. I can easily remember the hard to get heart pieces, but the easier ones seem to be passing me by. it's only because my brother has been collecting them that I remember about them.

i think to win the race you need to get in front of him by being agressive with the horse, and then as you slow dow while your carrots reset, you need to be blocking him from getting past.

I'm surprised how much I've forgotten actually, and I have played through Ocarina twice before....once when it first came out on N64 (hammered it for a whole week non stop) and again when it was on that free disc that came with The Wind Waker. I've just done the Underground Well (where you get the Eye Of Truth) and the Fire Temple, and I keep finding 'new' things (but then suddenly remember about them after I've found them ).
And mile is spot on about how to win the races against Ingo on the ranch and get Epona. :) That's how I did it.

I just got the Eye of Truth last night! I was wondering if it's actually worth clearing the rest of the treasure chests in that dungeon or if I should just leave it. I've always found it anoying when you spend ages trying to get to the last chest in an area, only to find it has rupee's in it and you laready have a full wallet (I've lost count of the number of times that's happend to me!)
i'll have another go at getting Epona later, but I was having trouble just getting infront, let alone staying there!
The thing I remember about the whip (alright, carrots) is if you use them all, they take longer to reset. So use all but the last one, and they come back quicker. That's how you get the best run.
I completed the Fire Temple in record time last night. I totally blitzed the place in about 20 minutes! (or there abouts) It was almost like I was playing a speed run.
I think they must have turned it's dificulty down a bity though because in the big main cavern that you hit the pillar in to, you can run over the lava without taking much damage at all. I seem to remember that it was very damaging in the N64 version?
lol does everybody in the world have that free disc with windwaker?
thought mine was special :(
at least i have the one that came with mariokart tho :)
I don't think I've got one. I did have that promo disc that had the NES games and Majora's Mask, but I don't remember seeing that when I last had my Gamecube games out, so I may have lost it :-(
I've got the WindWaker bundle with Ocarina of Time and the Master Quest. I don't have the other disk that had Majora's Mask and the older games on it. But then I've heard that that emulated version of Majora's Mask is prone to locking up randomly, which can really ruin your day, so I'm not that desperate for it.
I do have the original cartridge, but I'm tempted to buy it on the Wii Virtual Console instead so I can play on my big telly.

i 'think' thats how you do it.
The best thing to do is to use a carrot or two during the straight sections and to try and keep in front of him as he goes along a fixed course. Let the carrots recharge while turnign corners. But always make sure you have one or two carrots remaining at any one time.

I figured it out finally tonight and also remembered an old trick that is more difficult because of the lack of rumble on the 3DS.
The git blocks you off and slows you down on any kind of slight contact so you do have to avoid him, that's rule one. The trick is that the last carrot used comes back every 6th or 7th gallop (think it's 7) and if you time it correctly you lose next to no speed and can get to the last bend with nearly all the carrots at your disposal. It was easy on the N64 as you could time it with the rumbles on the controller, with the 3DS you have to listen for the gallop noise which is quite hard as Ingo is a noisy git around the track!

.357 in the side of his head, niko bellic style.
you have to save zelda from her evil pimp, driving round in your epona 2000, busting some bad moves on the hyrule highway.
The evil pimp being Ganondorf presumably. He's forced Zelda into stretching her saddle bags at any punk who's got enough rupees around Hyrule and you've got to go around bitch-slapping every homie who's been pimping her ass. Each one has a bigger hat. The mask guy is one bitch-ass mutha with a temper to match his suit.

I only used the Eye of Truth to find that underground level in Kariako Village when you're Adult Link..

The temptation is defo there, I have a score to settle with the Garudo Fortress from about 8 years back

Incidentally, I have the Japanese versions of Wind Waker and the Ocarina/Master Quest discs... and I thrashed them too.

I've got those two too. The second one was a bargain 25p from a carboot a couple of years ago :-) Still not tried Zelda 1 or 2 though :-(
