A shame. I have a real soft spot for the Columbo films. I aim to get them all at some point. Well he left a good legacy:smile:

funnily enough I was looking at columbo box sets yesterday..

he'd been ill for ages, his official website hinted at it, he also used to paint / draw.

mile your thinking of The Princess Bride ?

some of the later columbo's weren't of the same standard as the 70's ones to be fair.

    RIP though

    RIP Mr. Falk :(

I watched loads of Columbo when I worked in a hotel that was closing down...it was always on in the afternoons when I had nothing to do but sit in the staffroom.....not that I was complaining...Columbo's brilliant!

That sounds like the start of a post-modern Columbo episode. Someone got strangled in the lift and the murderer claimed they were in the staffroom watching Columbo at the time. A likely story.

    Just one more thing...

    RIP Mr Falk. Classic stuff.

They should rig the coffin lid to open up in the church and a recording of him to say 'Oh one more thing..'

I knew I shouldn't have come here to check the forums!
Why do you people often post these "RIP Mr/Mrs XXXXX" threads?????

Now the day started a bit sadder, loved Columbo and they have reruns here in Denmark and I try to watch them as often as I can....

I thought he died years ago?

    ....Maybe I'm thinking of Ironside?

Nah they'll just make a poorly directed comedy movie based on it where they will force Ben Stiller to have a stroke before shooting so he has a lazy eye.

Maybe Owen Wilson can play the bad guy as well?

Lazy eye? As opposed to having a glass eye?

Aye but Ben Stiller doesn't have a glass eye.

the best way to watch Colomobo is to miss the first five minutes, so you don't see who does it.
