I spent the day at a motorbike festival in Kelso, which I'd walked round in 20 minutes after my cousin paid 30 quid to get us both in....He wanted me to go so he had someone to go with, even though I have little interest in motorbikes or anything with wheels in general.....well except robots on wheels..they'd be cool!
But yeah, there was quite a few nice bikes there, and a couple of big biker-trikes which would be ace to ride around on....one had a stereo that was probably bigger than the rest of the entire machine! :D And he managed to bag a biker jacket that normally goes for a few hundred for about 25 quid, so he was happy....
But it started lashing down with rain so we left...wouldn't like to be one of the hundreds of bikers that had came to camp out on the green!
I've got a gold credit card! Do you really think...?
Yeah probably if you wore the right clothes, shoes and talked the right bull****. You'll end up penniless though keeping up the pretence of a rich man.
I know golds cards are as common as muck, but many a bimbo will fall for it, else a platinum, or onyx one (also frightfully common in the pre crunch days). Allot of gold diggers also look out for expensive hand sewn shoes or expensive watches and use that as a barometer on who to flirt with or stay aloof from.
I would never stoop to such things, however when being a teen and going to clubs you often see right jerks bag girls like above, and from the benefit of experience I now know their technique was all about flash cash and bull****.
?30 to get in? What kinda rip off middle class boring festival was this then?
I'd expect overnight camping, and a live band all day at that price!
That's 15 quid each mind...The overnight camping was 30 quid or so for 2 or 3 days, can't really remember...it was Bike Fest or something that was tagged on all the programs. Didn't seem very middle class though, lots of big hairy bikers everywhere from all over the place! Definitely heard a lot of Swedish, French and German being spoken.....but yeah, it was quite a big campsite and I think it's on all weekend...
There were live bands on at night, and they had some events on at a ring in the main ground....stuff like Highland dancing, terrier racing and stunt teams...ususal type of thing....but it was going to be standing around for 5 hours in the pissing rain to get to the good stuff! My cousin mainly went for the jacket, so like I say he went home happy....
*Edit...just found out it was a BMF event....apparently it was 12 quid entry for members...here's the website...
