ZX Spectrum Bluetooth keyboard

edited July 2011 in Hardware
Hi all,

Now that BT keyboards are dropping in price and there is more to select from...
I've put one together and it works really nice and at a fair cost.
www.vehmaa.se follow spectrum link.

ohhh, don't ask if I'm selling them because I don't.

Br,
Sami

interesting, but it would be way better if it could work as complete computer, not just keyboard.

Shame you aren't selling them. I would pay good money for one of them!

Would be better if it was the other way round... so you could use a nice modern wireless keyboard instead of the shower mat. :p

    ;)

Yeah..Id have to agree with guessor on this one (well it does sometimes happen, you know)... Its odd that the Russians are so eager to bolt PC keyboard adaptor onto their ZX hardware while the European types are more inclined to bolt ZX hardware onto our PC's... can't understand it personally... Oh, and I tend to think of the old rubber key more like a bathroom weighing scale to stand on rather than a shower mat, personally.. ;)

Sadly I agree with Guesser as well...
I wanna tell you a story 'bout a woman I know...

I think people forget how useless the rubber keyboard is.

if all you ever type is [J] [sym P] [sym P] [enter] then mash the QAOPM keys you probably don't notice just how terrible the rubber key speccy is for typing on :)

Well I think my hate for the old dead flesh keyboard is well known and well documented on these forums. It's part of the retro experience I don't need to go through again.

Ah, but it would mean I could use the keyboard overlay for Battle Cars (which is really needed).

Nice work! Bugger the naysayers, it's a great idea. Hopefully Elite Systems have something similar coming out soon.

Elite Systems? So they might be doing something similar that will be for sale? Do they have a website? I know the rubber keys aren't the best keyboard by any means, but as I am in the States it is the closest I can get to the feel of the real hardware (stupid US TVs and power grrr).

You just have to do some USB drives for BT adaptor for my ZX Matrix interface and you have it there.

I was thinking a standalone Spectrum box, but having BT HW mapped keyboard to speccy would be a challenge, not impossible and this would be nice, play games with dead flesh and code with a nice keyboard.
