it's not that I'm not a fan of buying them online.. but when they **** up along with my bank and let some thieving herbert attempt to use my debit card details then I get left without a card for THREE weeks ... then I think better than to bother dealing /using them, I simply can't trust them. They should have made up for their mess up , not even a sorry.

this time of the year is commonly known as "the dip" in retail.. due to folks going on holiday etc. hence all the offers

I bought Monday Night Combat yesterday and it came with a free 3 day guest pass, if anyone wants it, give me a shout.

If I had a job right now, and was able to pay, I would buy the monkey Island games as well as all the star wars games on sale, like Jedi Knights who is still one of my favourite games ever! (although I doubt my pc could hold some of the newer ones...)

I've just picked up a couple of really cheap but very good games. Trine for $2 and Defense Grid for another couple. Ok, so they aren't Modern Warfare but they are quite fun, extremely well done and run quite happily on my MacBook. Yay for Steam!

Guess: Mass Effect 2 (and perhaps ME1 too).

My guesses are always wrong, mind :p

    Edit: ALWAYS!

Trine's a cracking game. A bit like The Lost Vikings on the SNES if you remember that.

Good luck actually buying something today. Picked a few things and now when I want to finalize the purchase, I keep getting one of these messages:
"There has been an internal error initializing your transaction. Please contact support for assistance." or "There seems to have been an error initializing or updating your transaction. Please wait a minute and try again or contact support for assistance."

According to what I've found out about those messages by Google'ing around a bit, this problem has struck plenty of people in the past. Now that's just great ... first Steam kept rejecting my credit card for no apparent reason (it used to work fine up to January and has not expired), now as I try out PayPal instead, I get this

Heh.. Strangely, attempting to start up steam from BootCamp, makes Steam want me to enter a security code that they say they have mailed to me. Except that they haven't. So I'm kinda locked out atm till I puzzle this one out. Why does everything have to be so damn complicated nowadays? Remember the days of the twin decks and fast-dubbing? Happy days indeed...

Meet the new Valve Fail system that locked many peeps out of their accounts for days while they waited for Valve Fail Customer Support! :p

Same Far Cry deal as at Christmas when I picked it up. Tight gits could've knocked a bit more off this time round!

    Thankfully.

I got me that FarCry 1&2 pack too. Had played 2 on the 360 a bit and liked it, but never played 1 so I hopped into that, at "Challenging" difficulty right away. But I'll be damn, after dying half a dozen times in the very early part where you have to steal a jeep, I put it back to "Normal". So much for a FPS which hails from the times when your health didn't auto-recover (and the enemies being pretty tricky) - "they don't make 'em like that anymore!"

New deals (final day) in now. Just Cause 2 and BF2:Bad Company take my fancy, but I doubt my somewhat aging system will run them too well. New Vegas is up there too at 70% discount.

    Not happy :-(

FEAR 3 for ?20, weekend only (?29.99 on Steam). Activates on Steam, just done mine :)
    http://www.greenmangaming.com/

See the 20% off weekend code on the front page there, applies to all games which aren't on sale so it says. I had to apply the code 2 or 3 times before it said it was valid. But no worries! lol

Yeah, for some reason it started rejecting my CC a couple of months ago. Have been meaning to look into it, for now I use PayPal and that works.
