*** NEW CRONOSOFT RELEASE ***

edited February 2005 in Games
We have a brand new Cronosoft release available ...

ZX FOOTBALL MANAGER 2005 is now available on cassette for the groovy sum of ?2.99.

It's (as far as I know) an exclusive to Cronosoft, and is created by Triumph Game Labs. It's a nice slick machine code management sim, all icon driven and very nicely presented.

I'll get some screenshots on the website as soon as possible.

BTW.... I am aware that Sega have a game called Football Manager 2005..., so I've stuck ZX in front of the name so it doesn't cause any trademark infringements. And if they complain, I'll inform Kevin Toms. ;)

    Hi chaosmongers,

I'm thinking of getting a few cronosoft releases for christmas. What do you recommend?

    Necros.

    All of them :)

Seriously, whatever takes your fancy... all the games have been well received - I hope everyone will agree that there haven't been any bad ones.

Personally, my favourites are ROUGH JUSTICE, GLOOP, and HOP 'N' CHOP

I am so going to order this game! :)

I cant wait to get 'More Tea Vicar'. Looks to be a very good shoot em up, just a pity about the title ;)

And if they complain, I'll inform Kevin Toms.
I read in an interview with Sports Interactive (who create the games) that Sega had to buy the 'Football Manager' name from the company who now owns the rights to all Kevin's old stuff. So if you bought FM, you probably gave Kevin a few quid in the process. :)

love to see some screen shots of the footy game please. did you ever get any further with the acorn 4th dimension stuff??

    Hi all,

Regarding good Cronosoft games, EggHead in Space is worthy of a purchase. I couldn't get into Hop N' Chop, and I found Dead or Alive good but a little samey. Gloop was great, and I've just finished reviewing ZX Football Manager 2005, so you'll have to wait and see what I think of that one.

In terms of what you must own, for static screen platform action, you can't go far wrong with Gloop in my opinion.

    Regards,

    Shaun.

i liked Rough Justice lots; Dan and i gave it an overall score of 8 at oldschool-gaming.com and i stand by that a few months after writing the review 'cos it's good. =-)

For simpletons like me, can you direct me to a link to actually order and pay for this game, please? :)

12 hours, of doing boring things online, trying to make some money, has fuddled my brain. :(

Yeah, I know that bit. I couldn't see where to order the game on the site though.

The link labelled "shop" from the menu on the left seems to produce a list of games and "buy now" buttons...?

Im massively looking forward to More Tea, Vicar... and think it`s a great Title... certainly better than `Another Snort, Vicar?`

    Also the platform designer :)

its not as good a title as "more glue vicar?" though

Is there any More levels, Vicar?

I know there/it`s still being worked on... I`ll be seriously sad if I can`t get it for Christmas :)

(I'll rescue my query from the windswept wasteland of the Adverts forum...)

Chaosmongers, are Reaxion, More Tea Vicar, and Platform Game Designer likely to be out in time for Christmas? I want to order as many of the Cronosoft Spectrum games as possible, but I don't want to leave it too late, or my Christmas will be ruined. :)

i can answer about Reaxion - it's very likely that we won't be ready for Chrimble, Sack's job is draining a lot of his time (and indeed energy) so he's just slotting work on the code in when he has the time.

:( Ah well, I'll start saving my pennies for Xmas 2005, then...
  • edited November 2004
I don't think More Tea, Vicar will be ready before Christmas, but there is a very very good chance that PGD will be.

    PGD is nearly ready :)

I would love to see the end baddy be something completely loathsome... like RICHARD MADELEY, or perhaps JEFFREY ARCHER.
