I managed to buy The Collected Works cassette compilation today from a site here in England for ?33 after delivery and including the original instructions for the games.
I'm not sure if I paid a bit too much for the compilation but I'd heard how hard it is to find now and heard about Ultimate having a really good reputation for games.
For me, ?3 per game is really good value (I've seen one or two of the titles in the box go for ?5 individually on eBay).
The only game I've kept from my 8-bit days is Knight Lore, but it's the Amstrad CPC 464 version. It's a small reminder of my long gone youth. It still has the receipt in the box, too. ?8.95! A lot of dosh back in '85. Ashamed to say I dumped the machine and it's games after they'd gathered dust for years following the demise of it's colour monitor. Wish I'd kept the lot now, but such is life.
All my Spectrum originals went with my Spectrum, when I sold it to a cousin in April '85, so I could concentrate on my 'O' levels. I really should have just put it into storage till the exams were over, but then I suppose I wouldn't have gotten the CPC 464, which was also a very enjoyable games machine. Anyway, I'm rambling off-topic, so................
Yes, it's in the archive. It's abysmal, lol. I never actually got to play it back in the day, but I always liked the name.
Btw, I do recall a magazine advert with an alien (who may well have been a Zarak) urging people to buy some games by a certain company, but I haven't been able to find the advert on here yet. If anyone can link me to said ad., I'd be grateful!

I list the single titles , some for ?3-ish .. cookie , atic atac , jetpac , jetman , psst ... but the purists will go for the single versions I guess.
there are cart games I'd like to get of their stuff though , I'd like the other 7 of the 10 Sinclair carts .
I'd say you paid about ?10 too much, but that depends on the condition, if it's in really decent nick and as long as you're happy...

From the same publisher, CRL.
Richard Taylor was a brilliant programmer who did a spectrum version of zaraks from his zx81 original.
he was too good for games.
Hahaha, that's great! Thanks a lot. I haven't seen that image for a quarter of a century. Shocking...........
