The worst Theme / Intro music.

Ok we've had a thread about the best of TV Crime Drama intro music, but what about the worst TV theme tunes? In this topic I am considering all theme tunes not just crime drama ones.

    anything that used not so good 80's synths badly like the DX7.. .e.g. demsey and makepeace

    no one can mention george n mildred as it used a moog :D

    Not a british show but this one has a crap theme tune, whilst its central premice gives me the creeps.

    i hated the music to banna splits. think it got repeats in the 90's or something before the big breakfast.

    seaseme street was **** too.

    Listen to that crap squeaky sound in the back that sounds a bit like, bob-a-job bob-a-job. Awful.

    that's not crap. those kind of multi-harmonies would actually take a long time to compose I'd imagine...

    the bat girl one is pretty crap though!

    it's because it's "c.a.t.s" that's the thing the girl next door to me was in for an episode, always think it's demsey and makepeace . Her and her brother were in Mc Donald advert and captain birdseye ones as well.

    Now the theme was quite good, however it betrayed the content of the series....... it was basically about a policewoman with PMS (and teeth like a rodent) who wanted to arrest everyone ....... Or to sum it up another way... The Female Sweeney from Lancashire, or yet another way it was "heartbeat" without the humour or the sctiptwriters.

    And I think you guys will like this one, it's from an 80's portuguese TV Buddy Cop Show that tried to copy Miami Vice (actually the begginging of the music always reminded me saboteur II)

    Van, the guy who wrote the neighbours theme (Tony Hatch) has written LOADS of music for other things, with jackie trent.

    TV programs with terrible theme tunes include Frasier, Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps, and Star Trek Enterprise.

    Agreed! The (non-pilot) TV show has the same basic tune, with no singing, and it is nice, but with the words it doesn't work at all. It reminds me of M*A*S*H's theme tune, which is beautiful when (as on the program) it's non-vocal, but the single it's based on (Johnny Mandell's Suicide is Painless) is a terrible song, with a weak and unenthusiastic voice singing the awful lyrics:
