You know that's not what I said, you ninny. Sure I didn't mention the radio buttons in the first post but that's because at the time I didn't know it was just a specific issue on my end.

Some might only show up for mods ... but the rest of them everyone else should have.

No - I mean I am struggling to find out what you mean - which section of the forum?, what are you doing? where are you looking? Nothing has changed on the forum and the only radio buttons I can think of are in the polls and they are fine

For the umpteenth time ... EVERYWHERE!!!

I am fairly sure I also posted pics a few replies back

OK, thank you, finally a solid answer ... well, ok others kinda said the same before, hence why I thought it might just be an issue on my end but then others starting saying it was the same on their end, or that at least they didn't see any difference when they looked at the pics I posted.

I posted the reply before I saw the pics.

I can see your problem now. You've got no radio buttons, or check boxes. hope that helps.

The answer is pretty easy here. Have you already tried a different browser and see if there are those radio things there?

Oh, and if you looked up this problem in Google you will find many posts. :)

All of them, and everywhere (well, aside from that one place kinda not really)

Radio Buttons are indeed everywhere! (I usually find at least 2-3 down the back of the sofa!)

Clearly Windows XP. Ubuntu wasn't even out a decade ago!

I think the clue is in details... ZnorXman refers to Radio Buttons like a techy. Everyone fell for the don't know line!

None in IE either ... Guesser's still got them all.

What do you mean? ... I think I fell for it, that is, that others weren't knowing what I was talking about.

It's going to be yet another sad, sleepless night, all alone in bed without those radio buttons
( No change there then, eh. -Ed )

Radio buttons are fine here. Have you tried reinstalling Chrome? (or better ditching XP entirely and going to IE9)

Yes, and successfully so too. Didn't do it today though, think it was maybe, like last year.

One is an operating system while the other is a web browser ... I's confuzzled.

I would definitely automatically discount advice to "switch to IE9" from a Microsofty. Even if it ever accidentally happens to be valid advice (which it isn't, in this circumstance, as WoS forums work just fine for me in Chrome and always have done). Gotta be wary of those hidden agendas.

buying a new operating system to fix a browser glitch is like buying a new car to fix a cigar lighter. Sure it'll solve the problem but it's expensive and pointless.

Well my rough guess is the machine has been compromised by malware of some sort. We could go with reformat + reinstall, but to be brutally honest staying on XP is like getting rid of an STD and then going right back to the skanky brothel you caught it from.

As to a "hidden agenda", I'm not entirely sure what you think that would be, it makes not one iota of difference to my life what browser/OS you use. Buy a Mac seems like an even more expensive move though.

I agree and disagree with you there.

I agree that it is expensive but it's definitely not pointless, as the point remains the same, i.e. to fix the issue. I think this is actually my best bet right now ... just save up some moolah and get a new 'puter.

    Problem solved.

The mods may condemn this thread and delete it if they so choose.

And the only option for fixing an otherwise perfectly functioning set of hardware is to "install IE9" which would also involve installing and (stealing or) purchasing a more recent Micorosoft operating system (and probably, in fact, purchasing a new PC too). I would go for the reinstall of XP + service packs. Couple of hours, job done, no money spent.

Are you not a Microsoft employee or contractor then? I just assumed you were as I noticed you promote current Microsoft products shamelessly on here at every opportunity, even when better options clearly exist.

On what do you base that guess?
Again, reinstalling XP may well make the problem go away but it doesn't fix anything, why would the same problem not appear again once he's installed the same cocktail of software, browser plugins, antivirus updates, blah blah blah.

A better solution would be to spend a while on google and find out what's wrong with the configuration and put it right. As Timmy said, there are loads of sites about missing radio buttons in chrome.

No, that is pointless. When the same thing happens on your new computer you have spent all the money and the problem isn't fixed at all.
If your PC worked last week it will work this week too, software doesn't wear out.

Yes it does... Well, mine does, :P
