Bozxle (missing credit, version number and author AKA)

edited October 2011 in Infoseek database
Bozxle

Chev upper right on the loading screen:

Bozxle.gif

Chev can also be added as an AKA for Andrew Owen[2].

M. Beep can also be added(as per the loading screen) as an AKA for Mister Beep.

Also a remark might be in order to mention that it utilises the ZXOdus engine. This would also then concur with the LEGAL section of the ZXOdus instructions.

Also-also, as per the WoS What's New page (Oct.11,2011), this game now has more than one version floating about, so the filename(s) need(s) to reflect this.

Cheers Znorx, I'm glad someone knows what they are doing, :)

The second version was an update to fix a bug. :(
    So far, so meh :)

Also go fix the missing "z" in the instructions!!!

Unless you want me to report an AKA for your game????

I hereby am reporting an AKA for the game Bozxle, as the instructions call the game Boxle.

"... The tiles in Boxle were created with ColorTILE on a virtual TC2048:

The remark section for this game also needs to include this:
"Polomint is seeking a cake or a girlfriend. Either one should come equipped with their own sweet whipped cream."

Chev can also be added as an AKA for Andrew Owen[2].

Andrew asked me not to add aliases for him a while ago, so I'm not going to.
    M. Beep can also be added(as per the loading screen) as an AKA for Mister Beep.
Abbreviated versions of names (initials instead of full names) are not maintained in the database.
Also a remark might be in order to mention that it utilises the ZXOdus engine. This would also then concur with the LEGAL section of the ZXOdus instructions.
This is a good idea and now done.

Yes, but I'm not going to make up information. :p

Ok, I have no issues with that.

I propose an author be added, called Chev, and this author be linked with this game.

Ahhh, well, I just assumed that perhaps you already had been given this information

So what you are suggesting is that the authors of all tools used to create a game get listed?
As far as I'm aware, he didn't author this game...

Ahhh, no ... I just remember someone keeps telling me that a person gets listed if they contribute code to a game (so, in a way ... yes(?) ).

(I knew I forgot to mention this, sorry, I read it yesterday)

Oh, by the way, yes Chev can be added to this game, and as an author/artist, as per the instructions:

"... Bozxle was written in about a week with graphics and advice from Chev. ... "

In that case I humbly apologise and make corrections post haste!
Andrew will be listed with his real name.

    Andrew?
    Who is that?
The instructions and loading screen mention Chev ... don't know who you're on about! ;-)

    Code by me
    Music by Mister Beep
    Loading screen by Einar Saukas
Graphics and ZXODUS engine by chev (not Andrew!) :p

chev wants to be listed as chev :)

    Thanks, :)

EDIT: But I suppose it's fine as it is.. :D

Ahhhh, yes quite right ... I see on this in-game screen that the ZXODUS engine is indeed by Chev and not Andrew:

    Bozxle.gif

So, I take it that the ZXODUS listing needs an update (???)
