New fanzines for the Spectrum are always welcome. This one in particular shows great care in being put together - artwork is well placed although some colors are too flashy to my eyes. Articles are interesting but I believe they could do with some more depth and insight.
What I didn't like was the criticism of Olli and Lissa, which is a neat and nice (although rather hard) little platform game in my opinion, and the gratuitous sarcasm aimed at Sinclair User, of which I was a proud reader
Nice! A bit flashy with its bright colours but cool for sure.
In next issue, if there is one, I'd like to see more recent games and events covered. Talking about old classic is fun and fine but most about them was already said.

I've intentionally picked a very specific style for the magazine. The bright colours are chosen to harken back to the magazines of the time (at least the sections that weren't black and white) - YS in particular featured some particularly ghastly colour schemes. As for depth and insight, I'm deliberately going for light reading and entertainment value over great depth. So much detailed stuff can be read from other sources, that I hope to bring a somewhat unique voice to the mag. However, if anyone has something profound they want to write and submit...

O&L was a tough call. I remember it kind of fondly from when it was released, but tried to be more realistic for how I felt about it today. Personal bias is always going to creep in, a lot of it based on memories, but that's what reviews are all about.
As for Sinclair User, I couldn't resist a little dig, being an avid reader of Crash and YS
Yes, I guess, it is out of ink now :P. 22 pages which are full colour... Not good for any printer.
Strange. I was printing more strange things on my laser colour machine and there was no problem.
But here - it stops on 700Kb or so - and it doesn't print the mag indeed. :( A pity.
The light-hearted approach to the reviews makes it entertaining to read, it doesn't matter if it's subjective/contentious - it all adds to the nostalgic feel of when you used to argue about which game is better with your mates..
I also liked the random selection that you reviewed, I've never played either Discs of Death or Killer Kong.
Excellent work. I really enjoyed this fanzine, love the juvenility, works perfectly to evoke the era and provoke the nostalgia. The isometric cake was inspired.
The full on colour is great too - very Spectrum.
Steve Jobs as a 'favourite ghost' was an edgy gag but I liked that too.
Yes I upset at least one person with that one, but people should really stop treating him like the messiah
I never treated him like the messiah. In fact I don't even care for anything by Apple - style over substance and commodity fetishism to the Nth power as far as I am concerned  Nice joke then.
I had rather noticed with a raised eyebrow the sarcastic remarks to Sinclair User, the bible of my younger years ;) - but hey, we're still 14 years old somewhere in our heart, aren't we? :D

Yes, the tone of the end pages is intended to invoke those irrational rivalries we had back then.

It cannot be printed. It has 22 pages.

Cool design. Funny, but very short magazine.

Hmmm ... must be something wrong with my printer then

I only miss some "present" in the ezine, I mean current games and stuff :)

And I love the bright colours, and general layout! I miss that type of stuff in modern mags!
More please! :D

Look forward to the next one!
Either before or after Christmas.

Well, it made me laugh.
