He was so ugly there were probably more requests to take his photos down when he was alive.
I've heard he had female bodyguards, maybe those where hot? (pix please! ). Makes one wonder what happened to them - probably killed or fled.

hes funny tho, should have a star turn

He should have got his own tv sitcom 'The Gaddafi laughter hour'. The ratings could have been huge!

Don't be Gaddaft! But I admit, he does look Gaddawful in that photo. When I saw it, I exclaimed "My Gadd! Afi-nk he's dead!" We can't laugh too much at his demise though, because you've Gaddafi-nk of his family too.

Apparently theres a vid of him flopping around on the floor with blood squirting out of him?

10 years ago I may have watched it, but that vid of the Russian guy getting the knife in his neck from about 10 years ago made me change my mind about ever watching anything that gets posted on the internet.

    That and Goatsee

Oh bloody hell, I thought I'd blanked that from my memory. Lived with me for weeks that did.

Nah, he's lying on the floor with loads of commotion going on around him, people moving him about etc., all you see is a pool of blood under his head, it's not all that disturbing really. You can't make much out because of the crazy camerawork, but you can see that it is definitely him.

    Yup!
    Agh!
    HUOAAAARRAARRRRRGH!

    I can't even put a smiley....it's not funny ergh!

To think you can actually watch someone get murdered online, it's nowhere near as amusing and "cool" as it was when you were younger, kinda makes me wish there really was such stuff as mind soap :(

Couldn't agree more. It was that gurgling scream that *really* gave me the willies, if I'd had hair it would have been on end!

I think so, with Gaddafi as "DLT" the hairy (dead) cornflake

Why can't they just report the news. All these stupid headlines do is increase hatred towards the UK and make us even more of a terrorist target.

    Spot on!

guess that kind of media is catering to the low end of the educational spectrum, so needs to grab their attention with a little hate mongering or they'll drift back to watching Jeremy Kyle or something

For the love of god will someone please go to the middle east and teach them how to hold a camera.

It's like they wave it about on purpose!

I've never seen it. Unknown Russian Soldier made me realise that I get upset by (real-life) violent deaths. Strange considering the amount of violent/bloodthirsty films I've seen you'd think I'd be de-sensitised to it.

Gaddafi fought for ten months - one against the civilized West.
Fought like a lion and took the death of a soldier in battle.
    RIP.
Beautiful rebels who killed the wounded and then mocking over the corpse.
Beautiful scum that support the scum.
For ten months in Libya killed 50 thousand people.
Much more will be killed later (and not just in Libya).

Ah, of course. The brave lion who systematically murdered his own people for the best part of forty years. What a leader, he should be the template.

The lion who when it came down to it fought like a brave soldier by sending his own troops out to be killed on his behalf to not actually defend anything but his own flimsy grip on reality. Truly a brave soldier he was, running off and hiding like a pansy because, and let's face it, his life was worth so much more than those he was willing to sacrifice.

Silly me, I forgot. It's all the Wests fault. Personally, I blame Fred.

RIP? Are you really serious ? Stupid thing to say
  • edited October 2011
He's serious. People in Russia don't like America much

Gadaffi was a dictator that ruled with an iron fist and was responsible for deaths of his people and victims of terrorists attacks.

On the other hand he made Libya a relatively rich country (much richer than its neighbours like Tunisia or Egypt). During his rule tribal conflicts were also practically nonexistant.

There were much worse African leaders. Read about events in Ruanda, Liberia Ethiopia or Uganda if you wish.

And ironically he recently tried to "become a better man". He apologised for terrorism, started paying the compensations.

But the decision in USA was made. The revolution must happen. Gadaffi was the only one leader who didn't escape and he would beat the rebels if not half of the world attacked him. Till he fought until the end in the unequal battle.

So he was son of a bitch in many aspects but still deserves some respect in my opinion.

Let's see what happens now. Will we have new Iraq or Afghanistan?
