Applying for another job.
Hospital one never happened, I never made it through all of the red tape.
Now, if I don't get an interview for this job;

I will cry.
This is (amongst other things)what I do, what I have been doing for over 2 years, for free, at
the Citizens Advice Bureau. So, fingers crossed.

Interesting.
The hospital I am at have just stopped using outside agency staff (i.e. me) and switched to using "bank" staff. Having sorted out all the IT in the bank admin department recently my "interview" including all the form filling and getting criminal records clearance took less than half an hour. The CRB actually took 3 days to come back but they waived that as "pending"
Red tape can be cut by a vast amount if you really need it to be.
Moral - Always keep well in with the people who actually do the work like secretaries and people like that, they now all the good gossip and can cut all the corners when needed.
