Sam Cruise was a great character - a shame he only got one game
But the problem with that game is when he walks inside the buildings... we just can't see him. I don't know why wasn't it made like his 'big brother' game, Skool Daze.
The idea was good: like Skool Daze, but buildings & streets instead of school classrooms, police & gangsters instead of mates & teachers, the same good graphics...
I like how in Terramex the different (cartoon) characters shake their heads or nod in agreement depending on what you're trying to do. And then they smile or show a gasp of surprise when you either fail or succeed.
And come on, who here hasn't fantasized about riding a vacuum cleaner?!?!?!
At this point I must reckon I hate Dizzy... I don't know why, it's like when you dislikes anyone and you don't know the reason (I've only played the first game in the series).
I don't hate Dizzy, i liked the first 2 games but he's not my favourite Speccy character. I think it's because a few years later Codemasters seemed to have a new Dizzy game out every week. I got sick of seeing him everywhere i went.

The games went rapidly downhill after the third and the spin offs were dire except Kwik Snax which was pretty good.

I have been playing Halls Of the Things and Warlock Of Firetop Mountain since the begining and recall even drawing `Things` on my exercise books at school so i would also like to add the characters from H.O.T.T and WOFTM as they bring back the most fond memories.
Technician Ted (30 lives won't help you Ted you poor sod!) Maroc (well, he floats around casting spells and his death spiral is one of the best speccy demises) Eric from Skooldaze (great role model for speccy-playing school kids the world over) Corleth the Fey (always thought he sounded the coolest in LOM) Sweevo (Stan Laurel reinvented as hapless robot - righto!)
Eric from the Skool daze games and Jack the Nipper, I was such a good little boy so those games gave me chance to be naughty without getting into trouble :smile:
The characters from Everyone's A Wally were also cool.

Thanatos the destroyer was an awesome character - he made it onto my Spectrum Games Characters page!
How about Daley Thompson? He was very cool in real life - and I always thought he was great in the game.
