  You must arrive at the beginning of the airstrip at a very low altitude (roughly the same you use to hit the targets on the ground) and then press gently DOWN to make the plane land. It's a bit tricky at first, but a little practice will do.

  I didn't really like playing it as I wasn't nmuch good at it.
  
  I did like playing Cyclone, the helicopter game though.
