Grid Iron 2 by Alternative (linking back to the other thread) - possibly one of the worst American Football games out there. Almost like someone took a basic football management game, added crummy match "highlights" with a slight American Football flavour and said, that'll do.
my nostalgia for this game - being the first football computer game I ever saw/played/owned - cannot override the reality of how poor this game is. It makes Matchday look good. The graphics weren't actually that bad but the speed was snail pace and gameplay non existant. you could select to play 90 minute games (in real minutes) as well. that would be an interesting punishment in hell tbh
He makes a lot of already discussed, similar subjects in a very short time:
- worst sport game
- strangest games
- best 2 player game
- longest to finish
- worst name for a game
- best bike game
They may all touch different subjects but all that talks involves the same - saying names of the games.
But worst of all, he doesn't contribute to his threads, doesn't give any examples of his own, doesn't make any discussion. He just throws some idea in the air and waits for people to answer and entertain him ;)
Please don't hate me , but couldn't it be Football Manager? There seemed to be too many completely random results , so a bit pointless playing in the first place.
Uchi Mata was good if you could suss out the controls. Kung Fu was pretty awful though I thought , though nice vector graphics. Graham Gooch and World Series Baseball looked good, but were very dificult to play/control. Super Soccer was just broken, could have been a great game though.
I think it has to be Snooker though; only good thing is that it only took about 30 seconds to load, but the game was an unplayable , flickery mess.

Hmm. This makes me suspect andy20066 is just the last in a line of oddball characters who every now and then animated this forum, the most notorious example of them being the venerable TKrap.

One on One, definitely.
the slow, frustrating, how-the-hell-can-i-hit-the-ball-if-i-have-troubles-not-missing-it super soccer was well worse!
Another case similar to Kung-Fu Master, said in another thread. In other machines is awesome!
For one-on-one basket, it's better to play Fernando Mart?n Basket Master...
An' you know what they said?
Well, some of it was true!
Bytes:Chuntey - Spectrum tech blog.

Super Soccer.
Match Day

I think someone has fallen out of love with football :-P
Not at all. There aren't many good football games on the speccy though.
My love for Swos remains. Infact I think in honour of this great game, Wos should be renamed Sensible World of Spectrum!

andy20066 surpasses himself - he posts the same thread again, after just four months:

He never uses capital letters in his sentences.

That made me laugh too (sorry Alessandro)!
