PS: I will test the video converter and player on a new CF card then. Thx.
It's a +2A, modified:
- to have a real midi output (standard 128K models have a TTL-level midi output)
- built in lcd display (so the external tv is only for the show)
- laser safety interlock (key and emergency button)
- internal 8-bit DAC for the laserscanner on out port 251 + input on port 251 is used to read the laser sensor
And a normal DivIDE interface with +DivIDE firmware because I like the Tornado assembler that works well on that firmware.
There are some flightcases for all equipment, a smoke machine, MIDI-USB interface to send the midi data to the laptop, which hands the data over to a VST (virtual synthesizer) that creates the sounds.
Of course there are lots of more details, but I don't want to steal your topic ;)
I am asked to visit some other fairs and even music shows to play the harp and/or show some Sinclair stuff. But with a family with two kids, I can hardly attend them...
If you click on the pics you should get a larger version.
Yeah, I really like his equipment.
Every time I visit his concerts I try to get some moments as close as possible to the stage with all those beloved 'old ladies' as Jarre calls them himself.
In the past there were also some Jarre-fanmeetings with amateur-concerts where Jarre-songs were covered, but with all the original equipment.
So I got the chance to really touch some original vintage equipment, allthough those are not owned by Jarre himself (but he has at least two or three of each himself haha!).

He has a larger than average store room to keep it all in! At the moment he is going through a bit of a retro analogue phase, so all the 80s digital gear is stacked on shelves up against the walls.

;)
I'm trying to work it out: is he playing a Yamaha CS1x, AN1x or something similar?
It looks like a CS1x to me. The AN1x has more knobs on it.
I have a plg-an1x in my sound module (used to have it on sw1000, now have it in a mu128)
5 note poly, does a good impressions of a prophet 5
