Thanks, yeah I got the job...but so far I only know I've got 4 hours this week..will need to make sure I have more next week or it's pretty pointless as I spend 7.40 a day on bus fares...
And I'll be avoiding the Skyrim thread after Friday until Tuesday when I can hopefully get the game....need to check funds! :)
cant you sell it to one of your mates and ring it up on the till wrong, like sell it for a penny.

Yeah, except now you have a till user ID, and all the till receipts get checked at the end of the day and they can look and see who sold what and for how much....It's all very well designed to stop staff nicking things...clearly it's been a problem in the past! :D
Anyway, enough about my job and lack of funds...somebody speak about hunting goblins or something, quick...

I had a mate in Asda used to mark down ?8 birthday cakes to 50p!
I also knew someone in the cafe and we'd get a full breakfast for the price of a slice of toast! :D

guess you'll have to wait for some kid to buy it and phone your mate waiting round the corner to jump him. :-P
Right, well, mine didn't arrive last night, and I've just had another look at the Game email, and it says that it was despatched on Sunday with a delivery lead time of two working days (didn't see that bit before), so I may have it tonight. Fingers crossed, and all that. I think this is the most excited I've been about a game release since GTA IV!
My copy was 75% preloaded when I left for work this morning. I had left it on all night, obviously I have a slow connection.
Friday is veteran's day here in yank land. Of course the insurance agency I work at will be open (even though all the others in town are closed). So I will be sitting here being bored until 5pm. It will probably be really quiet as well as most normal, sane employers let their staff have state/federal holidays off. I am most annoyed.
Just noticed that there aren't any scores yet over at Gamespot. I take it the game hasn't already been out a week in the US like most other new releases?
EDIT: An Australian magazine has scored it 95%.
... bar the occasional "mood breaking" AI moment, Skyrim's "beautiful sprawling world" more than lives up to expectations for both fans of the series and newcomers.
The Edge review is the clincher for me as they're the only reviewers I feel get it right most of the time. I cannot wait until tomorrow now - there's the teensiest chance I might get it tonight though :-)
Mine is 100% pre-installed. Now the question is, do I stay up until 1 minute past midnight to play it (what time zone are they using)? I managed to get a half day tomorrow and I will finish at midday. If I stay up late playing it that means I have to get to work for 8am, work 4 hours and then come back and continue playing. Maybe I won't bother sleeping at all and just stay up all night. It doesn't matter if I am semi-conscious at work, nobody will notice! Also, there won't be many clients as it is Veteran's Day.

Ive been trying to get Deus Ex 3 finished by 11.11.11 as its going to be left uncompleted otherwise and i dont think i could be bothered to carry on in a month or twos time.
Amazon emailed me yesterday saying its in the post so hopefully ill have it tomorrow.
Still planning to wander into town tomorrow to pick it up, have a few things to get there at the same time. Haven't fully decided which race to go for, think I'll try to decide tonight to save a bit of time tomorrow.! :D My main Morrowind & Oblivion races were Khajiit and Imperial so I think I'll try something different this time.
Has anyone here decided which character race to go for yet?

I think I will go for Khajiit, stealthy, thief type. I have a problem with these type of games in that I will sometimes not get very far in the game because I keep creating new characters. It's all part of the fun though. I never did finish Oblivion, although I got very close to finishing the main quest. I should have leveled up a bit more before doing so, as a result it was really hard and I lost interest. I think I probably saw pretty much everything there was to see in Oblivion though, apart from the completion of the main quest of course.

more likely you with get 48 cans of baked beans instead. :p
If you lot get yours early - no spoilers!
Have got the day off on Friday so am currently trying to decide what time to get out of bed.
Aye, same here. Don't trust my local postal service lately, they have delivered a few things late in recent times.
Got quite a few shops nearby to go to Friday AM and pick it up.
I've booked the Friday and Monday off, so nice long weekend.
BTW, they've already fixed a few bugs and issues. Patch 1.1 will be out release day (some are saying it's already out now).
Got all next week off as well...

Can't you just unplug it from the net right now and adjust the clock to be Go-Time?
I thought it checked online to see if the all clear had been given. Otherwise they wouldn't let you preinstall.
