You can only take ten games with you...
Been done a dozen times before on this forum, I know, but the question of "which ten games would you take with you if you were to be stranded on a desert island" came up again on another forum (Gamefaqs), so I thought I'd ask it here. Mine are:
Conker's Bad Fur Day,
Deus Ex,
Dynamite Dan 2,
Goldeneye (not the very inferior Goldeneye 007 Reloaded),
GTA3: San Andreas,
Mr Do! (arcade original, still my favourite ever arcade game),
Perfect Dark,
Skooldaze,
Unreal Championship 2,
Unreal Tournament,
I'd like to be able to take a few more Speccy classics, like Psion Scrabble, Battery's Not Precluded, The Sentinel, Farmer Jack in Harvest Havoc, and Head Over Heels, plus maybe a Zelda game as I've always meant to give them a try (everyone says they are wonderful), plus Skyrim as I think it's great (me playing a real RPG - who'd have thought it?!), and a dozen or two other first person shooters, but if I could take only ten games then it would be the ten I list above. At least right now it would be, as like most people, my answer changes according to when it's asked.
Knowing my luck, though, if I did get washed up on a desert island, the only games that survived the sinking would be the entire range of Dizzy games and two copies of Sabre Wulf. When the rescuers did eventually arrive they'd wonder why I blew my brains out with the flare-gun
Anyway, what ten games would you choose to be marooned with?

Oblivion
Morrowind
It'd take forever to play through those, I wouldn't need anything else. :p
Erm, but if I did need something else...
Mugsy
The Wild Bunch
Deus Ex
GTA: San Andreas
X3 - Reunion
Uplink
Syndicate
buckaroo, boggle, travel twister...classic desert island time wasters tbh
solar power.. you'd hope at least it'd be sunny :)
but since it's so tech based.. does 10 CF or SD cards rammed with retro games count as 10 .. :) ..
2/ PC - Tony Hawks Pro Skater 2
3/ Arcade - Shinobi
4/ PC - Colin McCrae 2
5/ GrandStand Solar Powered Handheld - Jack and the Beanstalk
6/ PC - Virtual Pool 3
7/ PC - FarCry
8/ Spectrum - The Great Escape
9/ Spectrum - Dizzy or Rentakill Rita or Little Big Adventure on PSX
10/ Spectrum - Gunrunner
But if I can only take ten, most of them would be Speccy ones (see any TOP10 thread for details), plus Duke Nukem 3D, UFO Enemy Unknown, Splinter Cell and Sim City 2000 as well.
Ah! I forgot to mention I'd take a lighter too.
Syndicate
Civilization 2
Sensible World of Soccer
Wonderboy in Monsterland
Castlevania Aria of Sorrow
Laser Squad
Hunter
Canis Canem Edit/Bully
Chuckie Egg
All endlessly playable games.
Morrowind
Oblivion
GTA V
RE5 (predominantly for the Mercenaries, still got a shed load to unlock. And the online versus modes. I assume this island will have a broadband connection? :-D)
RE4 (as above, apart from the online bit)
Skyward Sword
GTA San Andreas
Batman Arkham City
Red Dead Redemption
sandbox games mostly
chess
scrabble
in there too
Civ 4 beyond the sword
a GTA game, San Andreas for me, cos I like arsing about in the planes
Skyrim - even though I've not played it, and erm dunno
GTA Collection PS2 (Not really cheating it's sold as a single unit and contains GTA III, GTA: Vice City, and GTA: San Andreas).
Fallout 3: Game of the year edition PS3 (Contains the game and all the available DLCs, potentially years worth of gameplay).
Resident Evil 4 PS2 (only because I haven't played the Wii version before).
Theme Hospital PC (I could literally play this game forever I always find myself going back to it eventually).
Ico and Shadow of the Colossus HD Collection (I'm sure I'd eventually get bored of Ico, but Shadow of the Colossus is a game I can just play whenever whyever whatever :D).
Doom PC (original and best FPS, well maybe not best but...well actually maybe it is? :p).
Shenmue Dreamcast (There's another motive to this as well as Shenmue being an awesome game you can also play Sega arcades in the arcade there, so that strikes Sega Ages off the list as a single entry :D).
Clean Sweep Vectrex (would've said Pac-Man for my ancient nostalgia fix, but Clean Sweep shoves a fist up Pac-Mans arse!).
Streetfighter Alpha III PS1 (Not my favourite streetfighter Alpha, and not my favourite SF game overall, but it has the most characters in the Alpha series, and it's a damn sight better than SFIII, I'd have said SF IV, but for all it's oldskool awesomeness I can see me getting bored of it in the future? At least this game has kept me coming back for about 10 years).
Keydrive PC (OK here's where I cheat, I used to carry my keydrive around with me quite bit, and at one time it had quite a lot of retro stuff on it. So let's just say my keydrive would contain all the Megadrive, SNES, PC engine, Master system, and Speccy games I like? Wanna challenge it? I bet I could fit all of that on 1 keydrive and still have room for a couple of me-me's :p).
There we have it then ;)
treasure island dizzy
lost in blue
link awakening
secret of monkey island
dead island
jurrasic park
GTA 4
Yoshis Island
Rainbow island
what about miles versus the nazis?
you fight nazis in yoshis island.
iirc
1) Where Time Stood Still (the alility to shoot stuff gets it ahead of Great Escape)
2) Hired Guns
3) D&D Warriors of the Eternal Sun
4) Panzer General
5) Champ Manager not sure what year yet but doesn't really matter
6) Imperium Galactica 2
7) Morrowind
8) Skyrim
9) Halo 3....real tough call for me whether it'd be this or Hale CE but assuming multi was available I'd take H3 for old times sake. if not then Halo CE
10) MW3 - hard to call which COD to take but as it's the newest I'll take the risk, but only assuming it'd have multiplayer....I'll be damned if I'd bother for the single player stuff
I reckon that lot would keep me happy, and covers pretty much all my fave platforms over the years too....given a lot of my gaming time these days is on FPS figuring out ways to out think people I'd struggle without that kind of real challenge
After all, as my famous side kick once said:
"Good against remotes is one thing, good against the living....that's something else"
EDIT - Hmmm, you can see what happened with number 8....
2. Sensible world of soccer 96/97

4. Modern warfare 3
5. The Lords of midnight (couldn't risk never playing it again)
6. Tomahawk
7. Striker
8. Dead Island

1. Kick Off 2 (Amiga) - probably the game I've played most on any system. Ever. Much, much better than that Sensi drivel :-D
2. Shadow of the Collossus PS2) -what Boozy said.
3. Captive/Hired Guns (Amiga) - literally infinite gaming.
4. Resi Evil 4 (PS2) - loads of replayability especially with the Mercenaries minigame.
5. Ys: The Vanished Omens (Master System) - brilliant RPG and a pretty massive game for the SMS.
6. Secret of Monkey Island (Amiga) - love it and I guess it fits the theme.
7. Final Fantasy VII (PS1) - best RPG ever.
8. Hunter (Amiga) - sandboxy wonderfulness.
9. On the Bench (Speccy) - somehow this management game drags me back time and again even though there's nowt much to it.
10. Sim City (PC) - the classic and still one of my fav 'God' games.

Sounds like you could probably use this:
www.metro.co.uk/tech/games/883638-skyrim-creation-kit-due-january-new-patch-next-week
they did something like that for fallout 3 didn't they.
