You don't really need to decide. Right after loading this screen, use a small assembly routine to re-paint the logo with a different color chosen randomly from a limited set of options, so the game will look slightly different each time...
I know it should be in warmer colours when you design for double dragon, but I must say, the blue-metallic one was far better. Also, green can do the same effect for yellow:
I like the green+yellow ... mainly because those are the sort of colours one imagines being associated with dragons and their scales and such and whatnot.

Yeah, I agree. I'm going to be having a look at the opening cutscenes in the next week or two once I finish the remaining graphics for Jonathan's Replay game. Anyway, here's the final (I think, until tomorrow when I'll probably make more minor changes!) loading screen.
This loading screen is great! I love Swainy's screen too though, why don't you use the Abobo picture for one of the end level boss cut scenes after the boss has been beaten? Something along the lines of the GBA version posted below.
Yeah sadly Fikee didn't make it. I messaged him last week and he said that the demo wasn't going well... So I'm guessing that he didn't get it ready in time.
Oh my lordy lord. You should find another coder! Was good to meet you at Replay but 2 to 3 years on one game and not seeing it running is just taking the mickey!
Loved the text, but felt an 80's game should look a bit more "retro"
so here's one i messed with. the figures are based on the cabinet art.
Christ knows if it converts. it starts warping my mind after a while, this 2 colours/character.
I'm much happier with 4 :)

This is the North American artwork used in arcades and home micro box art. I never liked the names Spike and Hammer and never understood why it had to be changed so much for the US version! Its a great reproduction of the US artwork but I personally prefer the original Japanese artwork :) Anyways, what do people prefer up to now out of the Sting and Obama title screen and the Spike and Hammer one? Both are great looking in their own right. Will there be anymore mockups?

Is the Dragon title screen too difficult on a spectrum? Im sure it would be colour clash hell! :)

How many cut scenes will there be? If the game is going to be a multi-load then can we have a slide show intro with music and an end screen for each level to push the story forward?
Something like Speccy versions of these without the stupid animation on abobo down below :) Swainys Abobo screen could then be used for a cut scene if its not being used for the loading screen/title screen now. What do you think?
Actually the Sting/Obama screen would be great as an end screen to finish the game after rescuing Marion and battling your brother! :) Although fighting your brother for Marion after he helped you through all those levels to rescue her is a bit naff haha and she is obviously a bitch allowing them to fight over her :)
Guy's it's nice to see these screens but until I hear back from Fikee, loading screens and other stuff are the last thing on my mind. I just want to see the game running.
I've pm'ed Fikee. Lets wait and see what he has to say.
Or not as the case might be. Has anyone spoken to Fikee or know of any other forum that he might use? He seems to have not logged onto WOS since just before Replay Expo.
Might I suggest, if your gonna have the damned nerve to question someones programming ability that you at least do it like a man and use your real account.
Aye! Does seem a little bit of a low blow that does.
Fikee has worked on some pretty good stuff in the past, and baring in mind he's trying to singlehandedy code a 128k only multi-load game on his own, in his spare time.
I think given the circumstances he should be allowed something of an indefinite leaway?
Guys as frustraiting as it is, you have to remember that this is a huge project. Fikee is doing this in his own free time... Don't get me wrong, I wish that he would keep me and everyone else up to date with events but sometimes you need to back away from a project if you are not enjoying it. I'm hoping that he is just taking a break and will let us know what is going on in his own time.
I can confirm that Fikee is a good coder and hope that everything goes well in his life.
He took an ambitious route while creating this game - lot's of compressing and decompressing to reduce multiloading, advanced sprite routines to increase game speed and so on. It could have been done more lazily and faster, but he wanted to deliver a really quality product.
I just hope that if he decides not to continue the project (I hope not), he'll share the source code with us.
In this summer, he clearly said "it must be this year or never". As we are very close to new year, so he may drop the project possibly because of lack of time.

Now that is a cool idea!

We had a 'Speccy section' right by the entrance so if there was any DD activity i think someone would have seen it
I'm hoping that progress will continue.

so i added the dragon tattoos on the fists and stuck the green dragons around the text to offset it some.

Hey... would moving the blue guy up half an attrib help with getting the bright/non-bright areas aligned (visually) ?
(Yeah, I know then the red guy is lower ... but just check it out, and maybe make the same adjustment for the red guy too afterward)
(Hmmm, then again the black areas in the corners works as a subtle framing device...)
I've pm'ed Fikee. Lets wait and see what he has to say.
fikee hasnt been back on these boards cos its all hot air. he is incapable of producing the goods and knows that, however good his intentions were.
find a proper coder to do the job.
good luck with the project

Using my real ident, I hereby claim that you are an illiterate bell-end.
[EDIT] I hope a moderator will "out" this guy and give his usual WoS identity. I know they can match IP addresses to accounts.
/me +1's the above, :D

but the project is already open source. And some of the code are there.
