Rare speccy games fetch high price -article
Just been reading an article on fellow collectors site Ant Harpers `Retro Games Collector`,the article is about some ZX educational / business titles on an ebay and i have never heard of them let alone seen them in an auction. Clearly looking at the end results somebody had some serious dosh though.
Does anybody own any of these titles that are in the article?

They weren't up very long ;)
I see Logo sell for 40 something the other day.
Although I think my scanner is on it way out. If you look close on the black bits I see lines.
Disease Dodgers, sounds a funny name though.
problem with all this stuff about "it's worth".. nah it's worth what someone is willing to pay for it. It's fun when you go and do a pick-up and they tell you whats worth them money , when it's that lesser known game in the corner of their pic that was badly taken :)
educational stuff came in crappy boxes.. = less weather resistant etc. and lets face it , it was for games we had a speccy :p
I picked up a few things the other day, some aren't scanned on here

the problem is with such articles , anyone who owns a spectrum game is gonna think it's worth shedloads .e.g. the ?1000+ speccy recently
It is a very collectable subject matter and I'm all for people having hobbies that keep them off the streets, I myself used to have a sizeable collection which I gave away. To spend hundreds of pounds on old tapes is not shrewd or wise, it's just plain ridiculous.
I just recentlly went to look at a spectrum. Someone had phoned me up, and told me they had one with loads of games that they wanted to sell. So I went to have a look. It had no power supply and was pretty scratched up and had the odd dent, games were all boring, about 15 tapes in all, MAC, scrabble, survival, chequ.... and a few copies on c90s, all covered in years of loft dust and pretty poor condition. I generously offered ?20, the bloke seemed to think I was trying to rip him off, reckonned it was worth ?100.
I shook his hand, wished him good luck selling it, and left.
