Favourite magazine advert for a game?
I'm sure this has been done before, but I've done some searches and not found it. So if it has, here it is again..! :p
I thought the ad for Contact Sam Cruise was good, really imaginitive.
What's your favourite? Good or bad, what's the most memorable to you?

I agree. Let's not mention Psycho Pigs UXB and Game Over in this thread, again.

Another vote here for the Barbarian games.
And pretty much anything by Bob Wakelin. Mikie is probably my fave, brings back very good memories.

Tir Na Nog, Ultimate ones from Knight Lore to Nightshade, Mikie, Lords Of Midnight, Doomdarks Revenge, Wizball, Head Over Heels, Fairlight 1 & 2, Wrath Of Magra and I, Of The Mask (odd that they dint use the artwork made for this on the box but relegated the art to a tiny box on the back & used worse artwork on the cover, never worked out the logic there!)

Ah, i'd forgot about that one.
Never played the game though.
Visions Software had great ads but I always suspected the games couldn't live up to them

There's something similar to Camelot Warriors. I happened to find the same artwork as a cover of a comic magazine, some years ago at a street market. I don't remember the name of the magazine ('Cimoc', '1984' or any similar...) but it was a great surprise. I thought it was a Dinamic original artwork. The issue was from the begining of the 80s, IIRC,some years before the release of the game.
Does any spanish user know the name of the magazine, by the way? Did some search in internet but couldn't find anything
Game Over, Hundra, Cozumel, Aventura Espacial, were these kind of reused stuff.
Turbo Girl, NavyMoves, After the War, Satan,.. were original stuff specially painted for these games.

He's done a lot of comic art and several game covers are by him. Off the top of my head there's Army Moves, Lorna, Nonamed, Phantis and probably a few others.
There's also some mention about him and other artists like Bob Wakelin but my Spanish ain't too hot! ;)
