ah well, you have to get used to it with pets.. as harsh as that sounds. my sis , her cat.. they spent a flipping fortune on it at the vets ?1000+
sure you can get another one.
people are either cat / dog people. I'm allergic to cat hair so made it easy and well dogs, I'd rather not clear up after them, so don't own one. (would if I lived in the country)
I was sad when sis's ?2.50 gold fish carked it, I looked after them while they were away. I have been reading about some people doing in their pets for the insurance, as well as the numpties who put sick videos on youtube that make cat/bin lady look tame compared.
depends on your cat really.. some are all about the house.. while others are out on the tiles have 3 human owners and *cough* about ?
if it was one that was out and about, can hardly be helped.
my sisters cat got the crap kicked out of it when they moved to a new house and the local cats had a go at it when it was out in the garden.. ?400 of damage.
I'm sure you have good memories of it.. now you just gotta teach the new one how to do soldering.. don't think we didn't know who was fixing the machines..
Heh, youre right fogster, we had two kittens, Bowie and Jagger not so long back, good lads but not much technical know how (unlike jazz), man I miss her already, ill be allright soon enough I know but she was always there, no matter what, pleased to see me when I got in, ill miss her terribly, RIP Jazzmeister
Sorry to hear that Macc. I'm sure you'll be gutted because I think the world of my cat Fudge and I'll be very upset the day he goes. He follows me round the house like a dog and i've even trained him to do a few tricks:smile:
Sorry to hear that man - always sucks to loose something/one you care about
I found myself thinking about my old lunatic ball of fluff the other day - miss stumbling in drunk and being greeted by a chirruping cat who wants human food
Sorry to hear about that mate. I always thought the cat in your avatar (Jazz) was a nice looking cat.
I'm a Cat person rather than a Dog person, but my wife is a dog person. The end result? We have neither! We keep Rabbits and Goldfish instead.
I may get another cat one day.
I don't know what I'll be like when Obi goes. He's 16 but the vet says health wise he's half that age so looks like I don't have to worry about that for a while. Siouxsie will be absolutely devastated when that day arrives though.
I don't care what people say, pets ARE family.
Oh, no. Every time you turn up something monumental and terrible happens.
I don’t think I have the stomach for it.

I had to live though the death of 3 cats as a child and teenager. The first Jackson a jet black cat sleek cat that was both very athletic and curious. Curiosity killed our cat as it got locked in a local building site and starved. The next one Sox, it was beige and white. It would eat grass and poo green jelly. It got run over. The last one Cleo a black and fluffy cat, was 5 when we got her and had a troubled past. Cleo died of a tumour but lived to a ripe old age of approximately 20 years.
My dad burred Cleo in the garden by the fish pond. About an hour later he was gazing out of the window, dropped his mug smashing it, spat tea all over the glass, and let out the most fearful of uuurrrrghh! sounds. What happened was another cat just like ours had just had a poo in the spot ours was burried and was raking it over with mud with its back feet. For a moment my dad though our cat had crawled out of its grave. :-o:-o

3 of our family's cats died through venturing out the front gate and getting run over, it was always sad.
hope your kids are ok.

Sorry to hear about that Macc. I know how it is, I was a mess when my cat died.
Your avatar always reminded me of him.
they become a part of the family and i have lost a few over the years so i know how you feel.
My cat Elvis died last year, and we had him for about 16 or 17 years, so he was totally a member of the family....
RIP Jazz
