Does anyone remember the TV Series Exploitica Rides Again? it was an hour long show, shown on C4 (I think) at about 1 or 2 in the mornings about 10 years ago. They took old cult films, then chopped them up, re-edited them and added stupid sound effects and captions. It was seriously funny at times and I'd love to see the whole series (I missed a few because of it's time slot), but it's something that will never get a DVD release (and I won't use torrents)

Here's an example of their genius...

Got to say, the waving bear thing is thoroughly repulsive to me. It is only waving like that because it's day consists of sitting behind that fence watching people wave at it like that, while waiting for it's next meal to be delivered. There was a similar scene in the China episode of An Idiot Abroad, with captive bears mimicing people throwing food.

Saw a similar thing at Aspinal's safari park in Kent with an elephant... it's tusks had deep grooves worn in them and were covered in green paint from where the keeper slung food just outside the fence so that it was poking it's trunk through the fence at the people, to reach the food, every time the sightseeing bus went past. I probably have some pics somewhere, but they're too depressing to post.

It just makes me think what utter c**ts humans are.

Read somewhere else on the net that the bears in that park were actually rescued from a circus...so you're not wrong in what you're saying about humans, but just thought I'd say that it's not necessarily the park that's to blame...I suppose they're still basically allowing it to perform though now that I think about it, but at least it has a slightly better life....

Yeah, you're probably right there. I guess a trained captive animal like that would just starve to death, or be killed by others, if dumped into a forest - so probably not a lot else that can be done for it.

loving that Star Trek/Wars thing

As for the bear - I won't pretend to know anything about the park etc but it looks like there's a reasonable amout of space for it to potter about in - obviously no where near the kind of territory it'd get in the wild but not the worst conditions I've seen either

I've seen the arcade thread, and the WWF game has reminded me this:
