Get a few of them hooked up with remote controls and cams, and we could have a game of Big Trak Doom!
    So far, so meh :)

Big Trak rocks!! Mine eventually got broken(the rear wheel got a knock and the plastic holding it and the middle wheel on snapped off).

was that pengo ... the git!!

was funny they broadcast one by accident where it did a dump on the floor and ran off.. they had a field day about it on points of view

I never had a big trek as a kid, wanted one.. they had a trailer also (jetman stylie :p )

but the new version could have been pimped more.. e.g. USB command list , blue tooth.. control via phone etc. I was tempted to get a USB robot arm , but understand the command list on them is quite limited.

yeah, it's just about the same as before, pricey really, when you can get usb charging helicopters with on board cams for around the same price

oh well, maybe they will bring a better one out?

I think that it put people off that it wasn't upgraded.. even reading directsion of an MMC etc.. you could give it a massive sequence.

does it go thru a lot of batteries ? thats always what I remember from 80's stuff..

they had 6 million dollar man on a toy thing the other night.. prolly my fav ever toy.. got that with the space ship.. errm diving suit add on's etc.

That's because the batteries were ****e then. inevitably leaking and corroding the terminals away.

We also had a bionic man, with extra arms. [but why didn't his back collapse when he lifted anything heavy]

well I was at a friends studio the other week and he had one on his desk..

1 arm had that panel that you removed to show the electronics , and the other arm was you had a button on the back to lift ..oh and the see thru eye hehe

I think if they remade them a lot of 30 somethings would re-buy em.

There is apparently a maxed up re invented Big Track on its way in 2012, which features USB support etc. Personally I think I'll stick to the original. You can now get a rocket launcher and a can holster, useful for delivering a cold one elsewhere in the house. Th erocket launcher connects to trhe Big Trak Jnr with a 3.5mm jack, but to the classic one with some sort of optical adapter apparently.
