Oops I've stumbled onto comp.sys.sinclair by mistake.
But wait... this IS World Of Spectrum! So why do we have more and more topics full of in-jokes and such like on here? I don't want the forum to be totally dry, but it's happening more than ever now. This topic has nothing worth reading at all.

Wow. And here was me thinking this was the Miscellaneous forum, whose description states that "Anything that won't fit in any of the other forums, such as off-topic threads and maintenance notifications"...

Actually, this *is* the miscellaneous forum, and you, sir, can blow goats.

And why the hell are you reading it if there's nothing you want to read?

    D.

I for one agree with Spector on this point. It seems most topics these days get turned into nonsense. And that applies whether they're in the Misc forum, or anywhere else.

Now I'm all for a bit of sillyness (I did read YS), but it's getting boring. At the moment I'm not really enjoying reading or posting here.

    Just my tuppence worth.

I have to agree with the people that say these forums are getting too silly - Most of it is coming from the same two or three people and sensible threads end up going severely off-topic.

Whilst I have sense of humour and enjoy jokes, I think the key is to know when the joke is no longer funny (sheds).

Please lets try and keep the 'funnies' in moderation, as most of the unread posts seem to be about nothing in particular.

The bit about offering my sisters-in-law on eBay or on here was only a joke - they know I put it on here and they know it was only a joke - I threaten to put one of them on eBay at least once a month..

Didn't Lister get banned from eBay for putting a fellow css'er on there?

If someone put him on eBay, he probably wouldn't fetch 2p. :p
