Supersprint like games

edited January 2012 in Games
Are there any games on the spectrum like Supersprint (Where the game is a birds eye view of the race tack, and all the racers can be seen), other than Supersprint itself and maybe BMX Simulator?

  • The obvious one is Championship Sprint.
Also Championship Jet Ski simulator by Codemasters was quite fun.

Love Badlands. Mad Max meets Super Sprint!

Been trying to get this into RG as a coin-op caper thing for ages.

I quite liked the arcade of that, despite being utterly pants at it. I remember playing it in the foyer of our local lazer quest back in the day (which has now re-opened), big bunch of steering wheels in the corner!

Stock Car Racer is still one of my favourite racing games of all time (I love the fact that you can give a diferente dificulty level to each racer).

also there was an F1 version of that game as well if i'm not mistaken

Grand Prix Simulator by Codemasters (denied distribution on WoS) was a pretty good clone with quite a lot of sampled speech.

Super Cars is a larger-scale scrolling variant with a good progression mode. But it's better on a 16-bit machine so you could maybe try STEEM, the ST emulator for that.

    Dinamic's Aspar GP Master:

But I don't know if it counts, as you don't see the whole track.

Rally Cross from Anco ( good graphics, hard control )

    Run the Gauntlet from Ocean
had very nice and varied stages. although gameplay werea bit bland.

Turbo Kart Racer from Players ( jerky scroll )

BMX simulator and BMX simulator 2 altough both are from Codemasters, so they are denied

there is also stock car 2, also.

rally cross by anco is one of my few fav amiga games, it's 4 player on that.

Yeah I thought this wasn't bad as a 1 player, but brilliant fun multi-player..

Used to play this one quite a bit too, very playable, was amazed when I read the Crash review.

There's always this, if you don't mind the odd bit of sprite flicker:

If memory serves me correctly, didn't the sequel Championship Sprint have a level editor/designer with it?

I seem to remember building or at least attempting to build tracks on something.
