yeah, fog, that would sum me up in a word :p

Or are you talking about www.worldofspectrum.org in general?

If I say "happy birthday to everybody who has a birthday over the following year" here, does that excuse me from wishing everybody a happy birthday, ever.

Probably not. I missed a few though. Sorry.

And I never got to eat my speccy cake :-(

I am a little drunk. My initial thought in replying to the "cleaning up a recording" thread, somewhere here, ahem, was "use fairy liquid"...

I've long thought that if we must have "happy birthday" threads we should have a single "Happy birthday" sticky that people can bump when it's someone's birthday (which given the number of people on WoS is pretty much all the time...)

On a slightly related note, has anyone noticed that the forum calendar doesn't believe in dates after the 31st of December 2010? :-o

That's ten years better than the Orange Spectrum manual that has this gem in Appendix D

    130 INPUT "year (20th century only)?";year

Well let's face it, the spectrum was long dead by the end of the nineties, it's only nutters like us that are affected :)

    Happy Birthday, Felicity Kendal.

Not that it's your birthday right now of course, but happy birthday for when it is.

I've got several dead ones..hate to part with them though...I'm still trying to figure out something useful to do with the husks.

I did find a use for one of the speakers though...my tomtom Gps speaker went out so now I'm driving around Texas with a 48k Speccy speaker in it saying, 'Ahead keep left'....sometimes I wish it would just say 'GHOSTBUSTERS!'

But it wouldn't, it would say 'Ghosbssssusssdfsdfczcx' and would just confuse everyone!

You got a point there ... but I think in Beanzie's case it wouldn't matter seeing as they all sound a bit funny down there in Tejas

You could hollow out the husks and use them to sit plant pots in:smile:

I've never been on this site on my birthday. I wonder if anyone's made me a thread?

I'm fairly sure either I or Deadpan have started one for you before. Just had a wee search but can't find one though.

I've long agreed with Guesser about this, and about RIP threads as well.
I wanna tell you a story 'bout a woman I know...
