Trying to remember name of an old animated movie making utility

My nostalgic mind suddenly remembered hours of making terrible animated movies using a utility I believe I sent away for from an advert in a magazine... so probably an independent obscure find- I think it was written in basic and allowed you to choose from characters like man, woman, bird, bear ! Which were very small , draw backgrounds, change colours, move the charcters around and have them speak in text to make a 'movie'. I think it's name had 'movie' in the title, but I really can't remember, and don't know what happened to my copy of it either.
Any ideas?
