  • How many cards did everyone get?
I came down this morning and couldn't open my door...

    ...I'd lost my key.

You could well have ruined a lot of relationships with this thread...

You'd better be worth it

    How irritating

Thought I'd be all clever and organised this year and organised for some flowers to be delivered to Mrs Wookiee at work (it'd be cringeworthy for a bloke but I reckon getting flowers in front of her work mates would appeal to her) and what happens?

    She
    Takes
    The
    Day
    Off

Grrrrrrrrrrr, WOMEN....you don't make this easy do you

Sod's Law really wasn't it

Should have stuck to my last min card from the nearest newsagents nearest the meeting point ;)

Think I've successfully managed to have them redirected to her now....if not, sod it....thought that counts anyway
  • They do It on purpose Wookie.

    They're evil creatures!

Well, me and my GF are currently "on hiatus" (LOL! very long story), but I bought her flowers anyway, because I'm a mong...

I bought myself some flowers and will go for a nice romantic stroll along the canal later, where I may even pop myself the question

thats a shame fella, you seemed right keen on this one.

even if the flowers dont work, it'll make her feel guilty.

    my gf is upstairs sulking

i got a big bar of galaxy and tinker tailor soldier spy on dvd which i watched at the weekend.

also the pressie her mom sent from canada for my birthday, arrived today.

so been pretty good for me really.

I was/am, she was the best thing to ever happen to me if I'm honest, especially after the ex before her. Cut a long story short, she's under a great deal of pressure at the mo and needs some space. We'll see what happens I guess... :(

things can have a way of working out buddy, maybe she does need the space.

if not there are loads of great gals out there, so dont have to pin your hopes on just one of them.

    my advice

dont take you mobile out drinking with you, especially with an ex on your mind.

Sorry to hear that fella. My advice is to cut off all contact with her. Let her wonder what you're up to.

Agree with that, sending her flowers probably doesnt help. Move on and let her do the chasing

I need to stay away from booze until I sort my head out really anyway, I've always gone out and got bladdered in this situation, and it always just makes me worse. She's received a temp job offer in New York, so she's going out there next month to meet with them, and to clear her head while she's at it, and she really could do with the break, she's having a right old mare of a time at the mo, so we're hoping that'll do her some good.

That's exactly (almost to the letter) what my mum said.

    Cheers guys...
