Sinclair Research - Flight Simulation
Digital Intergration - Fighter Pilot
Krakatoa
Cyclone
Tornado Low Level
Combat Lynx
Airwolf

are a few off the top of my head, any more ideas?

Strictly earth bound air transport though, no space stuff.

The BEST air-crash in gaming history... Night Gunner.

Blimey, it's a scary one that!
  • edited February 2012
yeah, but can I get a crash out of it, without it being too obviously a shoot em up on the screen?

I must check Zzoom out too, for the same thing.
  • edited February 2012
yeah i dont think zzoom reall ylooking like you were flying a plane
  • edited February 2012
doesn't have to look like I'm flying it, it does have to look like someone is crashing it though.

    hmmm..

    Blue Max
    Harrier Attack
    Falcon Patrol II

Is it just me, or does "Blue Max" sound like it could be pr0n?

won't be for a while though, from start to finish ZX Havoc 1 took me nine hours, and I'm busy all week. Got to go on a 2 day training course for work, then I'm working, then I'm off on the bike. So a bit of a wait.

I forgot all about Harrier Attack. Blue Max was in my list, I forgot to put it in my post.

Falcon Patrol I will check out.

Harrier Attack could get a couple, due to the good old ejector seat. :D
  • How about a city bomber game?
Don't you crash into a building if you get too low?

Yes indeed. And I played just such a game from the archives recently, and then deleted it to make space on my hard drive*, and for the life of me I cannot remember what it was called!

Think it was a modern remake too.

*well I deleted everything I didn't need, not just the one tiddly little game :D

The Dam Busters. In certain screen, if you are shot by the enemy planes, some bullets break the glass. Cool effect.

I'm sure there's one on Cassette 50. Plus you get the added bonus of the other 49 quality games! :-P

Can't remember if the crashes in Chuck Yeager's Advanced Flight Trainer are any good or not, but I do remember you could have the view inside or outside the plane....

Some good suggestions guys, keep them coming. :)

It was actually called City Bomber the game I played, from 1993 covertape. Not a modern remake as I thought.

Red Arrows - I never played it, the screen grabs look promising.

    Red Baron - possibly.

I'll have to have a weekend just playing these games to suss out the possibilities :D

Arcade Flight Sim - you could crash if you were too low etc

Not sure if Afterburner would count? There's that level with the walls you can crash into?

Infiltrator. Just getting that sucker off the ground for more than 30 seconds was an achievement.

possibly Raid Over Moscow, the low level raiding bit?

Is it me or do Codemasters games have an annoying trait?

Trying to play a Codemasters game, if you spent more then like one second thinking about it, the screen changes and plays a load of mini-demo stuff again, it's a bugger if you are not sure about what keys to press!

    Afterburner?

I have about 5 or 6 of em.. so no worry.. if you wish to purchase one :)

and after burner would be denied also coz it's activision no doubt.. yet SEGA are "ok" about their stuff.

infiltrator was a better game on 64, errm the first version it was made on IRC.

It sold well , but didn't port very well.. again I have about 4-5 of them here :)
