    Rolling Stones - Aftermath (cd)

    I've been listening to the Searchers quite a lot over the past few weeks, i like their jingle jangle guitar sound. A very underrated band whoss career was severly damaged by their manager (according to some sleeve notes i read).
    They released some interesting stuff from 1965-67, the early stuff is a bit too sickly sweet for me:grin:

    yeah ive quite liked the searchers, ive got their classic "meet the searchers" album on vinyl (flipback sleeve) and also their 1980 album on sire "the searchers"
    and now ive got a searchers compilation cd i got from my dads collection

    deliverence (1994) has albatross on but doesnt look like a gopher on the cover lol

    first 3 are my faves, eye for an eye, animosity and the 12" technocracy

    seen culture shock and citizen fish loads of times, subhumans split up just before i started hanging round town, going to gigs etc, then they reformed and played sheffield just after i left lol
    we once was gonna see em in london but it fell through, me and a mate tried hitching but couldnt get alift so thought wed get on a coach down, all full couldnt get on one
