Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis - US Gold

edited March 2012 in Sales
So, it's free listing day on eBay again and I'm really tempted to sell this as I'm a bit skint.

I don't really want it to go for "pennies" but don't really know how much it's worth either since I've never seen another copy for sale!

So, do I eBay it later on today or do I take offers?

I want this game, pleaseee :)

How much would you ask for it?
  • edited February 2012
I think zxBeccy was asking for this just a week or two back.
Oh, no. Every time you turn up something monumental and terrible happens.
I don’t think I have the stomach for it.

I say ebay it. I'll be putting in a bid :)

I've sent a few PMs in the last few mins and it looks like I'll probably be eBaying it.

However, if anyone is interested in offering me a load of cash rather than letting it go to auction on eBay then I'm definitely open to offers.

I've got plenty of copies of Scrabble, Make-a-Chip, Chequered Flag, Stonkers etc so offers of money only please ;-)

OK, I've gone with the eBay option. I think I've started it at a fair sort of starting price... I hope!? We'll soon see, I guess...

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=290676440500

I'll probably have some ever so slightly less rare games on as well in a few mins so I may as well plug those whilst I'm here :)

well funny, people are willing to up the price THAT soon?

I have an idea of at least 1 person whole bid on it. and they are "proper" when it comes to bidding..

I'm gonna take a stab it'll easily go for ?100-150 at this rate

popcorn will seem to be the cheaper option :)

well Beccy, it's great for Rich , but well thats almost 2 tanks of petrol and x-amount of other things I could spend the money on. Thats how I look at it.

I'm sure there is stuff in your collection that others don't have (I saw some already).. I know I have a few bits that are rare, inc. a few review copies of games etc. I guess the cardboard cover games are tougher to keep. I haven't even checked if I have that game, I probably don't.. besides the 16 bit / PC version was a far better game :D

I found it funny when I upload a cover the odd time and someone contacts me to buy the game of me :) hehe

Yeah, I'm seriously happy for him. I just hope whoever wins it does us some box scans, instructions ect for the archive.

The Wii version is pretty damn good too! It was a freebee on the Wii's indy title.

    Thanks mate..

I think I still have your address on file.. Do you have Robocop 3 at all?
  • edited February 2012
I used to have Robocop 3 but I sold it for a "mere" ?34 a year or so ago. I gather it's been going for a tad higher than that recently. To be honest, at the time I didn't even know it was that rare so I was dead chuffed.

Fog, if it's Scrabble 2009 edition for the PC then I might be tempted. I think it was jdanddiet who picked up on that one. Seems to be fetching really good money for something that you'd think ought to be worth about as much as, errrr, well a copy of it on the Spec! :p

In fact... if you tippexed "2009" on to a few boxes you might make a few quid :)

77bp, 90?, that must be the higher price ever paid for a Spectrum game, besides the crazy and stupid spanish spectrum games market, where you can pay up to more than 100? for an early Dinamic game...

I dont know why this time the price was so high, last 2 times I saw it, it never went up of 25?...there must be someone very interested on it!

Didn't Bubbler get to a ridiculous amount a while ago (maybe a year or so).

And there was always that copy of Moonwalker... :p

'The Ultimate Collected Works' also goes for a heap of pennies.

Pentagram sold for ?90+ the other day. link
I paid ?7 for mine a year ago.

I've known people spend more each day on drugs, at least we get something to show for our money.

Another one I've been after is The Legacy of Light by Carnell Software, I reckon if that ever surfaced it would go well over ?200, probably more
