Took your tip and so played this yesterday using the WOS online emulator, through to the last level, (I think its the last level) but I think that it is beyond my powers! Left it overnight to be sure, but online chuntey meant it crashed.
Enjoyed it well enough until level 33 (a beast) and 34 (too hard for me).
Let me know if you get to the end, would like to know if there is an ending.
I know I got fairly far into it, can't remember what level though. I put it on the backburner and havent played it in a month or so, I'll let you know if I finish it though when I try it again
Sh*t! I'm happy Clopit! got 8 votes, that seems quite a nice score.
Not bad for a few hours messing around each night for about 2 weeks :D
Clopit! was, of course, a surreal wonder, and I played it to completion. I really liked the MM style as the 'now beat this screen' challenge is more compelling to me than the JSW exploration . Each screen a miniature artwork too - very skillful and charmingly oddball -strangely inspiring.

Hello ?
Stela has 35 levels, you have been very close to finish !! :D
I've just finished the 35 levels only a few times, I know it's very complicated.

Welcome to the WoS Forums! ;)
I played the game too, and I liked it, even if the latter levels are quite hard! :)
I will try to beat the game when I have some nice free time in the future, and thanks for your new game too, Retrobsesion 2. I also have the first part in my to-finish list :)
And feel free to vote for the best game of 2011, only 6 more days to go!!
RetroInvanders - for being shmup
StampQuest - for being lovely
Alter Ego - for clever idea and most profesional look of 2011
Buzzsaw - for being good game with amazing multicolor code
Voted for the ones I played and liked out of all of them, I apologise that some authors may have missed a vote from me simply because I haven't played yet. But the cut-off's tomorrow so there we go.
good thing here is though all the one's I didn't vote for nobody will know if I didn't play them, or thought they were sh*t ;)
I voted for Ghost Castle 2 didn't even realise it was the SE, or I wouldn't have voted since I don't have it and haven't played it? The emu version of the regular game was good enough to warrant the vote though :D
First of all thanks to all the people who still code games for our Spectrums, and also thanks to all the people who take their times to play them, really, thanks!

This year, Joefish and his Buzzsaw got a very clear victory :)
There were, though, a lot of very good games, this time some arcades, which is nice for the scene.
Thanks to everyone who voted for Buzzsaw+. I'm reetly chuffed.
P.S. First post I've made in this thread - didn't want to jinx it the way it was going.
I'm glad people like to play it - I've been playing this game on and off for over a decade and I still enjoy it. I wasn't so sure after seeing a few reviews if I'd got it quite right but the popular vote is worth a lot, so thanks again. Thanks of course also to gasman and mister beep for some demo tips and the music.
I'll also offer congratulations to everyone in that top 'ten' as there have been some great new Speccy games out. And congratulations to everyone else for all the other completed games - there's a lot of great work, and I'll admit I've still got to go through the list and try all the ones I hadn't heard about.

I hope that we have a good year here, 30 years deserve it !! :D
In the meantime, I wanted to say a big THANK YOU for everyone who voted my game.
As for Buzzsaw+, well done! :)

Arses!
I still haven't got round to playing all of them yet, where does the time go? :o
I know, I've only played about half a dozen of them myself.
That said, well done to all for making such a wide-ranging selection of games over the last year. :)
It's always nice to see the homebrew scene thriving. Seems stronger than ever! :D
Nice one. Just tried it. Loveliness + Frustration in a Quest

See you in the 2012 Best Spectrum Game thread ;)
Doesn't sound that impressive, but in this instance it is :)
Thanks the 8 people that voted for it :D
Glad Buzzsaw+ came top, it's a groundbreaking masterpiece.
Good job everyone.
