Fabrice Muamba

During the Spurs Bolton FA cup tie, Bolton player Steven Muambe collapsed on the pitch, he stopped breathing. Defibrilation and Ressucitation were performed, and he's fighting for his life as I type this. I sat and watched these events unfold, as i'm a Leicester City fan who strangely still has interest in the competition.
When we play Chelsea tomorrow, when we walk out i'll be chanting 'muambe muambe muambe'.
My heart goes out to him, and his family. And I hope he recovers.

Not all about money is it, football...

    sorry, yeah, in a pub where 3 screens had the rugby and the other had the footy.
    And drunk. Was stunned, partly cos of what happened, and partly cos of the reaction.

    made me slightly less cynical about the game.

    And he's now stable :-)

    Was watching the game when it hwppened. Have everything crossed for him. The medical team were magnificent and credit to the ref who made the decision to abandon quickly. The players were in no state to comtinue and the crowd responded amazingly. If he survives the medical team should take all the credit, they were seeing to him within seconds

    terrible, reminds me of that Marc Vivien Foe one a few years back (and think there was a Scottish player too?)

    Worrying that with all the screening they must do for medical stuff and insurance that they aren't spotting these health issues :(

    A headline in one of the tabloids this morning described him as a "Prem Hero", which I don't really understand.

    As tragic as this is, how is he a hero?

    My dad was at the York City game when David Longhurst died. Awful.

    because he's not your typical footballer.. he's studying a degree in accountancy for one thing and like some other player he's liked (I can't say , not into football really). He's a good role model in that respect.

    I'm not having a go at the player.
    I'm nit picking the paper for writing stupid things. I'm sure Muamba is a decent bloke and well educated like others have said but that doesn't make him heroic. He's a footballer who tragically suffered a heart attack.

    Hopefully he'll make a full recovery and will be able to watch Bolton stuff Spurs!

    Happy as hell that idiot from Swansea uni who posted sick/racist crap on twitter about Muamba has been nicked. He's messed up his life with an hour of madness in twitter, deserves all he gets

    Idiot on twitter. Loads of people rightly grassed him up. Happy as anything this sick coward has been caught

    Plus the idiot had 'location services' on his iphone so the police knew exactly where he was! Total grade a idiot. If you search for his name on twitter you can see the crap he wrote about muamba and to people slating him for what he put

    Latest update is that he's made a slight recovery.
    Still critical but he's moving his arms and legs which is a start.
