Dart player Mrs Spex has just informed me Jocky Wilson has died.

    Also a famour almost 9 dart finish in 1982, it would have been the first.

    It is so sad to hear of his death. I spent time checking my facts on Wikipedia before I posted the video last night and it seemed he died as I posted.

    I watched Bullseye on Challenge while the clocks were changing and the darts player throwing for charity was Jocky himself. Not long afterwards I went to bed.

    Then I woke up an hour ago to find this text message,

    "Just wanted to send you this to let you know Jocky Wilson has died. Very very sad news."

    I am quite gutted Jocky was one of my favourites growing up and I always fondly remembered his character and his throwing action - "the snatch".

    He'll always be a legend.

    Rest in peace wee'un.

    I always remember him for wearing a pixelated blue shirt.

    Jocky Wilson was a true gent as i remember meeting him a few times when my uncle used to play darts and entered the world tournament in the late 70's at one time.

    He used to still go to my nans and have a cuppa with us all for years.

    RIP Jocky Wilson you will be missed
