Stuff for sale

edited April 2012 in Sales
Due to general skintness and the realisation that my house is starting to look like Mr Trebus's I'm starting to sell most of the computer stuff I don't actively use. Probably nothing all that special but have a look anyway.

Enjoy, Chris

No, no, Plecostomus are very pacific fish, it must have been another type of fish, or maybe the other type of algae eating (the asian one)

Like Ivan says, plec's are peaceful creatures. They'll sometimes turn parasitic on slab sided fish such as angels but it's not common. What other types of fish did you have in your tank? Also please remember the common plec is nearly indestructible. I've got one at the moment where the heater in its tank stuck on, boiled everything else and the plec was swimming about like nothing was wrong when the water was almost too hot to put my hand in. They're almost unbelievably tough animals.

I had 2 pangasius in with it, and acouple of smaller humbug catfish and a few smaller fish. The pangasius was the biggest at about 15", but that died after they'd all been living happily for about 3 years together. Then within a week plec attacked and killed all the other fish, exept 1 swordtail.

That's a cunning way to get rid of yer Scrabbles..!

This thread reminded me, 'back in the day' I had a tropical fish tank; one of them outlasted the rest by years, I wanted to sell off the tank but the little git lived for yonks so had to keep it..!

I can't remember what it was called, it was a scavenger (loach-type) fish, but it was a fairly striking pale white colour, possibly with a few markings on its back. When it eventually died it may have been about 5 inches long, like a small eel. I've tried googling but can't find any pics that match what it looked like. I also had a red tailed black shark but that didn't last long.
