that cuts me out then ;) hehe
May be Sir Clive should throw a Sinclair party! Obviously the tickets will only be available by mail order and will turn up late (not in the 28 days stated). ;-)
Mind you the tickets will be black, look more sexy and cost less than half the price of the BBC ones.
And it would definately be a "black tie" event and Jet Set F****** Willy is not invited. :-)
Paddy
he was at VCF didn't you go , wasn't too far for ya ?
BBC MicroMen scripts and props were on display, a ZX Spectrum emulator and lots of people and talks.
Here is Hermann Hauser with his overview of waves and computer evolution. the two people startup that became ARM ( same number of transistors as a Z80)
and some anecdotes about Sinclair and that cutting of the umblical cord moment in Micro Men.
Lots of stuff online just search for Beeb@30
It was Fuse on the Raspberry Pi

A nice picture of the team and Chris Serle here

The site that had photos of the Micro Men scripts is down (British IBM) but it didn't have the page with "Jet Set ****ing Willy" :-)
John is the guy in front of the curtain in the grey suit. Seems he got a trip to Japan with the Prime Minister as a perk of working at Sinclair Research Ltd.
The demo looks like the microdrive demos and the text says
with
o high resolution graphics
o eight colours
o sound generator
o extended BASIC
MIA :-)
