Lightforce question

edited January 2005 in Games
Cracking game this and one of the best shoot-'em-ups on the Speccy but I'm not asking for any one else's opinion with it.

My question is in regards to the 1987 Crash Readers Awards (been looking thru my Crash scans lately!)

In 1986 (not 1987, mind) it won one award (Best Graphics) and finished 2nd in a couple of others (Shoot 'em up and State of the Art).

Now in 1987 it also received some awards, especially a joint first for Best Music.

My question is, how come it got into the 1987 awards in the first place as it was released in 1986 and secondly where the hell is the music in the game?

Was there some sort of dodgy betting scam going on in the software industry at the time (similar to the Justin Fashanu - Sports Personality of the Year debacle!!)?

maybe that award is for the C64 version.
It has music (very celebrated) from RobHubbard, and according Gamebase64 and Lemon64 is dated in 1987

Nah, coudln't be. Crash was a British publication that was Spectrum only. ZZap 64! was the C64 version of the magazine.
