edited June 2012 in Games
Just finished this after god knows how long and just wanted to say how good the music was in this game, truly, awesome! The final tune just caps it off!

I agree, the music in this game is more than awesome, and the game itself is a classic from the late years of the Spectrum. Completely amazing game there.
By the way, the author of the music, Alberto (McAlby) is a user in these forums and also sometimes can be seen in the spanish Spectrum forums, a very nice guy indeed!

Yep - brilliant game, brilliant music. A real 'twilight years' classic.

I've got an interview with Joe McAlby on my blog too here if you fancy a read.

Really nice bloke and a damn fine composer.

Alberto is a gentleman, really great guy and a darn good composer too. I love the music to the Light Corridor, the title music is one of my favourites ever.

A friend told me about this topic. I just wanted to say hello and a BIG thanks your your good taste :D

Aw, seriously, thanks for the kind words. :)

I had a lot of fun composing the soundtrack. There's even an (unfinished) Amiga 500 version of the ending tune, which by the way I tittled "Hope".

Raphie, how do you know I'm a gentleman? :-o

You'll find out eventually. ;) Trust me, we've crossed paths before.

    EDIT: Yep mystery solved. :)

  • I haven't played this in years but I do remember it having very good music.:)
I found the game ridiculously hard though!

Its completely the other way around, its a very easily completeable game, specially since it has a password system. The game overall is quite impressive and a unique experience in the Spectrum!

Absolutely agreed. I also completed the game back then (and I'm an awful player) and it's still one of my all-time favourites!

Both Hostages and The Light Corridor are two real gems. Also North & South, although you had to play the disk version to fully enjoy it and not lose the momentum.

Imho, all of them are technically perfect. You can't go much further in a Spectrum.
  • Perhaps I'll give it another go. I never got that far back in the day.
