Actually I have a feeling Toni Baker wrote some channels/streams code to enable access to the RAM disk from 48 BASIC. Battle Bunny would probably know. However I did find this in the archive (which works on a 48K machine): http://www.worldofspectrum.org/infoseekid.cgi?id=0008616

There was a construction project in one of the smaller Spectrum magazines that let you page in extra memory in the top 32K, overlapping the Spectrum's top 32K by a PCB mod that brought a 'RAMCS' line to the edge connector from IC27 (1)

(1)I think - my eyesight isn't what it was. If I bring the circuit diagram close enough to see the small lettering, it goes out of focus; if I move it away to get it in focus, the lettering is too small to see.

Actually I couldn't get that type-in to work. Your Spectrum had an article on adding extra RAM under the title 'Now it's the 64K Spectrum'. I thought about writing a RAM disk for the ZX Spectrum SE (which would have made getting at the full 256K of RAM a bit easier for the average user) but I never got around to it.

Would be considered as a Ramdisk interface the LEC Memory Extension from Jiri Lamac?. The Jiri's ROM adds a few commands to copy data between the 48k RAM and the additional RAM pages.

Remember, JSpeccy emulates this interface. You can try it... ;)
