Help me find this game !

I asked a fair while back if anyone knew about this game but no one could seem to find it

Its a simulation game where you try to get to the top of the charts

You could release an album or single, you could advertise it and eventually do concerts. When you pay for a concert you get some bad graphics of UDG's moving a pixel here and there at a concert.

The graphics were terrible but it was a great simulation game.

Still cant find this game. Always thought it was called Starmaker but thats not the name

Any ideas ? It came out in the early 80's, i think around the same time as Dictator another simulation game was out.

    Definitely not, judging by the description of the graphics. I think the bull's eye has been hit by sirclive1 this time.

    Just had a look, sadly not any of those.

    The game had very basic UDG's, you could release a single and an album at the sametime.

    When you select 'concert' some basic speccy graphics appeared of a band in a concert hall, it was like 2 frame animations of the people moving around.

    You could book a tv advert as well and it'll say 'buy this record now' sort of thing, very basic.

    The Top 30 list was displayed and then the position of your record was a small flashing box moving up to the final position the record went in as.

    Its only rock n roll seems similar but it wasnt like that as you didnt create a song with the lyrics etc, you just had the title of a song.

    I'm so sure its something called Star Maker but theres nothing like that on WOS, perhaps its one of the games missing in action. Sorry to go on about this, just been trying to find this for so long. Hopefully it'll ring a bell with someone

    Finally found it !

    It was called 'Chart Topper' !!!!

    Ohhh the memories are coming right back !!! Very basic but a good game once you get into it !

    Ha ha after all that its not the game i was looking for ! This one doesnt seem to have any graphics but the 'gameplay' is very similar.

    I shall somehow find this game i'm looking for, must exist somewhere !!

    just had a look at the game chart topper , seeing as its in basic , i might have a pop at improving it as most of the hard work has been done , just some graphics and extra options etc , keep looking for your game though psj.
