Now listening to Hermann Szobel's Szobel album from 1976. Makes me feel I'm in New York in one of the 70s tv series like Shaft, McCloud or Kojak. Nice. :)
random songs from disc 1 of Grateful Dead - Dave's Picks 2012 (2012)
now
Gongmaison - Gongmaison (cd, released at the end of the 80s when they discovered house music and rave)

Chuffing work radio... *sigh*
Current track: Gotye - Somebody That I Used To Know
I used to like this track, but after hearing it about 20 times a bleedin' day (every day) at work, it now makes me want to break something. Grrrrrrrrrr!

I'm lucky (?) in that I've never heard the original Moby version at all, but I've enjoyed the 5 people, one guitar version - and the parody of that - and today I found an Israeli version with 5 people on one bazouki! It's terrific :)
Grateful dead - truckin (a wikkid 17 minute live song full of psychedelic country rock goodness :P )
The Meteors - wreckin crew
Primal scream - screamadelica (remaster)

Gosh how I miss Radio Luxembourg from when I was a kid in the 80s. I would lie awake at night and listen to the radio station on my mini transistor radio. Benny Brown was one of the personal fave DJs.
Best radio station ever in my opinion. Radio Luxembourg - 208 - Power Play.
The new Cradle of Filth album "Midnight in the Labrynth". It's basically an instrumental album where they have re-recorded tracks from the early albums, but have removed all the drums, bass and guitars, leaving an almost soundtrack sounding album. It's really very good :-)
Pil - this is pil (2012)
Gongmaison - Gongmaison (cd)
Quadrophenia soundtrack cd again
Siegfried Wendel - oldtime music - Vintage mechanical instrument devices lp (SMM03) - now available on my raresh it blog lol

I've just made a playlist of tracks that remind me of being back in school, when I was just discovering music for the first time. The only rule to this list is that I must have had it on my walkman at one point and only one song per band. That last bit was tough, but I stuck to it! Here goes:
Guns N Roses - Nightrain
Bad News - Warriors of Ghengis Khan
Nirvana - School
Blind Mellon - Change
Body Count - Bowels of the Devil
Machine Head - Davidian
Where's Me Jumper? - Sultans of Ping FC
Sex Type Thing - Stone Temple Pilots
Countdown to Extinction - Megadeth
Basket Case - Green Day
Unskinny Bop - Poison
This is a Call - Foo Fighters
Buried Dreams - Carcass
Going to Brazil - Motorhead
English Civil War - Leve11ers
So What - Metallica
My Iron Lung - Radiohead (I don't seem to have an MP3 of Creep!)
Run to the Hills - Iron Maiden
Dollar Bill - Screaming Trees
Bulletproof! - Pop Will Eat Itself
Bullet in the Head - Rage Against The Machine
Supersonic (LIVE) - Oasis
Escape to the Void - Sepultura
Seasons in the Abyss - Slayer
Today - Smashing Pumpkins
Digging the Grave - Faith No More
Age of Panic - Senser
So Young - Suede
Midnight Mountain - Cathedral
Black Hole sun - Soundgarden
Even Flow - Pearl Jam
I must add that I stayed in school for two years of 6th Form instead of going to college ;-)
pil - this is pil (2012) - rest of
Joey Ramone - Ya Know (2012) - no idea how he managed to make a second solo album 11 years after he died Oo
the man city - qpr match (LOOOL joey barton sounded like he thought he was steven segal when he got sent off, fighting half the man city players) and man city are losing Oo
the mind boggles
