tbh ive searched amazon, play, hmv, ebay and arrowfilms own site and the 4 dvd version seems to be 100% unavailable apart from that copy :(

funnily enough the only VHS copy of Hospital Massacre on amazon was also 2 grand when I looked at it a couple of weeks back - now it's saying 'not in stock' which suggests someone actually bought it?!

much like ebay, it's probably a place holder and when a seller "sorts by price" it make it far easier to find em :)

I'd say the best version of Dawn of the Dead is the 4 disc box set thingy with all 3 versions in it :p

I looked for a link to it, but I can't see it on Amazon at all which is a shame. Thankfully I've already got it :p

    -edit-
Oops, my mistake, here it is: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Dawn-Dead-Region-Import-NTSC/dp/B0002IQNAG/ref=sr_1_18?s=dvd&ie=UTF8&qid=1337181654&sr=1-18
Oh, no. Every time you turn up something monumental and terrible happens.
I don’t think I have the stomach for it.

Going by the quality of the transfers on the Ultimate Edition I can't see how the Arrow version would be better. But it is probably the first region 2 version of all three films.

As well as the best quality films, arrow release everything uncut, try to include every extra they can and the packaging is sumptious

Aye, that's true. I've got a couple of Dario Argento films by them and they're definitely value for money. I just don't believe that there's any more extras for Dawn of the Dead.

I'll have to have a nosey at the Arrow set to see if there's anything I'd be interested in. Saying that I probably shouldn't as I think I've already got it on DVD 3 times already

The bluray can be bought from Arrow themselves. they don't even have the DVD version listed.

But according to that site the extras on the bluray are the same as the Region 1 Anchor Bay Ultimate Edition one I linked to earlier so if you're not bothered about the packaging then I'd suggest going for that.

The bluray has 4 sleeve art options / double-sided fold-out poster / For Every Night there is a Dawn collectors booklet.

The Ultimate Edition DVD has a gatefold sleeve (like the Box of the Banned sets) 3 panel leaflet and a 28 page comic of the start of the film that ends with them landing at the mall.

I might have go get the ultimate version as theres no arrow dvd sets about and i dont do bluray.
I have a directors cut dvd already, just want the set with the three versions really, dont care which lol, the comic sounds cool tho
