Tracking Renegade

Firstly, this is not a project im involved with... Tracking Renegade is a iso remake of Target: Renegade but is based on the UK 8bit versions rather than the NES game.

Sadly it features rendered graphics rather than hand drawn sprites, but it plays rather well and uses a few ideas from Double Dragon 3.

hmmm would have to have a look, but my initial feeling is it doesn't look right definately should have been hand drawn

It's the eternal problem : 2D games don't look good in hi-res with rendered graphics.

It also looks wrong due to lack of the shadows under the characters - makes difficult to get idea about depth.

Oh I totally agree, I've spoken to the guy who made the game and there might be a chance of releasing a pc version with graphics by myself that I re-drew for the original remake a few years back.

I must say that Rene, and Player 2 kind of look like they may be big fans of Donovan, or Simon and Garfunkel.

Either that or they are on their way home late at night from an early 80's gay bar when they were set upon by a bunch of Sonic Youth Fans :D
