Battlefield 3

Anyone playing this?

Is it me or is it a lot harder to know what the hell is going on and where you are supposed to go in Multiplayer.

I'm good at the other battlefields, (usually top or in the top 3) but I'll be damned if I am at Battlefield 3...the map seems crap compared with previous versions (the enemy and targets don't really stand out) and the enemy themselves often blend into the background so I'm dead before I even see them.

Any tips from veterans? (go back to battlefield 2142?)

beans man, add me on Battlelog. Any one from WoS who plays add me. I'm HonoredShadow on their too. Just tell me who you are. I love to play that game even though I'm not to great.

Don't have a mic yet. Not up on that sorta thing yet.

Just remember to keep spotting people with Q if you think you see someone. If someone else does not take them out you could try!

1942 is the best. Some nice mods for that too like Desert Combat and Forgotten Hope.

Love BF3 - large maps and if you get in with a good crew you can watch each others backs.

Used to be a MW player but can't really get on with MW3 online.

It's quite a change moving from the MW games to BF3 though.

    cheers

My brother was moaning about BF3 on the phone earlier. Something about the Premium service, tbh i wasn't really listening. He was moaning about he couldn't afford it or something.

The first Battlefield game I ever played was BF1943 and I've become a big fan of it. Probably sunk about 1,000 hours into it since it was released

Since then I've tried to get into Bad Company 2 and BF3, but always go back to 1943 after about a week.

What I love about 1943 is that it's a proper level field. You don't earn upgraded weapons or kit by playing it for ages, and you don't need to spend time messing about with your loadout.

Like beanz says, what really killed BF3 for me is that enemies are almost impossible to spot, especially if they're prone. Even on maps I know inside out - like Wake Island - I could barely get into double figure kills.
